Can´t Pay anymore HELP!!!

I really don´t know why but since i downloaded de nvidia driver from their webpage for winxp every time I run GP4 a black screen appears. I don´t know what to do, tried other drivers, direct X, win xp actualizations, re install the game but nothing... I really need to play. Can anyone help me on these?

try moving the following files out of the gop4 folder.

f1graphics.cfg
f1gstate.sav
f1gstate.bak

see if that kick starts it

and make sure you are running the game using directx 8.1 or more.

have you patched to version 9.6. this could be the safedisk bug.

Did you do a minimum or full install?If you did a minimum install and are also usin the decpyted exe try hitting the esc key a couple of times and you should get to the menu.

i found that sometimes, if i hit esc too fast then i get a black screen and other times it happens on its own and deleting f1gstate.,sav saves it

Yes I tried that, the 9.6 patch, directX 9, full install. But I don´t have the f1gstate.sav f1gstate.bak files, just a temp.
I think that´s because I re install gp4 and don´t have the chance to play it again.

Just gonna keep trying... at least I can heard the background music from the menu.

I just had the same thing happen to me.Run dxdiag in the run box and check the direct draw and direct3d acceleration they might be off.I had turned of the hardware acceleration when I was trying to get a dos game to work in winxp.

I had this before.

Go to start menu, and Run.

type "dxdiag" and press return

Click the display tab.

Run the two tests. If the second one stops with an error do the following:

Disable direct3d acceleration.
Restart the computer.
Run dxdiag again.
Enable direct3d acceleration.
Restart again
Everything *should* be working fine
