Hi all,

I'm new to gp4 and I'm very impressed!

So many seasons, great look and physics and ai.

I was hoping someone could tell me how I access the pit menu in the 2014 csm mod?

Also, anywhere I can see a list of what keyboard strike does what? There's so many different things I don't know what does what!?

Thanks in advance

Hi

In the 2014 CSM mod folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\2014 Mod v1.0 by GP4 Central\Extras

Is a sheet titled keyboard shortcuts
You will find it very helpful

Also on this site's FAQ is the GP4 manual
[www.mediafire.com]

In it you will find much more on views etc.
Like this on page 4

Thanks for the help.

I am struggling with so many things. I can't seem to work out what does what. I can't change my tyres or access the pit menu or anything.

Also, I have another problem I would like your help on.

I tried a 2003 mod and when I know go back to my 2014 mod, the 2003 visors on still showing when in T cam view in the f12014 mod. It's like a file has been left in there? Any ideas?

Also, my graphics in the 2014 mod are really good. When I try the 2003 mod the quality is terrible?

The manual will explain teh pit options

As for CSM deals I do not use much CSM but with the 2013
at your first CSM load screen after highlighting the mod you want to load
the 2nd button down is called "The Mods Configurables"
In there you will find a visor option on or off
It could be that

Or in the main GP4 sim graphics menu you have cockpit visor checked?
If so uncheck

On the graphics good in one & not the other.... I am not sure but some
CSM mods like Fsones beautiful 2009 mod ( which has a great cfg file ) they use their own graphics cfg file.
You would need to find it & slip yours in its place

Good Luck...Takes time as there are many parts to this sim
Just fool with it & see what is what

Not sure what you mean by pit menu but

In practice while in garage use the a & z keys to move to car setup in steering wheel menu
Then hit space bar
You will be taken to car setup section & there can load or edit a setup in normal or advanced modes

Or if the mod has the tweaker settings like Toms 2014 mod you can use the keys on Toms included with 2014 mod key strokes sheet i showed you
in post above. Again while in the garage before lowering car off jacks
use \ to show next item in setup in your lower left screen or shift+\ for previous item

Then use [ & ] for changes

As for sounds this sites download section has many by Math for you to choose from.
Any sounds you want you will need to load

Firstly thanks for your help, it's appreciated because this stuff is a tad complicated to a new comer!

I have a 2014 CSM mod from GP4 Central. Is this Tom's? I'm really struggling to know where the most up to date and recent 2014 mod can be found. I've seen some great videos where the turbo sound is evident and some excellent sky tv graphics. I wonder if you can tell me the best one?

I must be being daft or something, but where is the download section of this website?? Can files be downloaded and installed without having to use a CSM mod?

I've been able to change the options in the lower left and right corners, but I see pit menu written in the bottom right corner also and can't seem to highlight it or access it. I'm really just trying to change fuel loads and select what compound tyre I want for a run.

Loads of questions I know but I appreciate the help.

One other thing....

If I install a csm mod, can I make changes to those files. For example, the 2014 mod I have has no turbo sounds, but the sound mod is available separately. So can I make changes to simply add the sounds files to the csm files that are uploaded when using that mod?

Does that make sense?

Yes TomMK here on this forum that is his 2014 CSM mod from his site GP4
that you have
On this site the downloads link is right above search link in upper right
Here is the GP4 sounds page
[www.grandprixgames.org]

Yes files are for CSM or regular but if regular you need to learn to do work with WAD's
etc

That pit menu you see in your lower right screen can as I said only be changed when car is on jacks in garage
Can be accessed during free practice even while driving by cycling thru it with the " \ " key but changes only done while on the jacks

Fuel loads is not in that menu it is its own menu
Look at your steering wheel while on jacks in practice & see it
You change it the same way I said in earlier post ....use A or Z keys to get to it & space bar once there
then < for less fuel or > for more

You are using the CSM Mod then you may also set fuel before even going in sim at your GPxPatch under
GPxSet Tab click Session settings

In your next question you asked about changing CSM mod & yes you can & also CSM makes it easy in many ways as the files are there easy to find & change
rather than being in a WAD

But anyway...............Just play with it....Use search function on this site as most of your questions have been addressed by folks with more experience than I
Also maybe at first forget a lot of modding but get to know the sim & its functions well so when you do mod you know really the difference. But also so it is easy
for you to undo the mod if you dont like it

Toms 2014 CSM Mod is very complete good for learning the sim's functions

enjoy ;)
