direct x 9

been away for a while and came to play gp4 and it said i needed to install dirext x 8.1 i have dx 9 game wont run any help out there would be greatful

There's a thread about this some while back but if you go to www.grandprixoz.net, there's info there (I think it's noted in their forum section).

If you are too lazy to search:

The shortcut on the desktop/start menu does not link to gp4.exe, but to the autostart manager that starts the exe. Gp4.exe itself does run with Dx9, it's only the autostart thingy that does not like Dx9. Just delete the shortcut on your desktop/start menu and make a new shortcut directly to gp4.exe.

Quite easy, you just have to know it. No, dont thank me. Just transfer the advice fee in the amount of £115-99 (VAT incl.) to my account.
