Problem with Patch 9.6 install

I downloaded GP4 Patch 9.6 and i begin to install it.
The prgram ask me the language. I choose it.
The Installershield begin to run and a windows appear
with this message :
"GP4 is not installed on this pc." and the program ends.

Can somebody help me. Thank you.
Please in a simple english. I'm french.

I try your method dumass but same message.
I took this game on kazaa and i don't have the CD.
In the text you give me for XP, there is a line for the CD (E:\ ....)
Perhaps there is something to change here.

i have the original cd of gp4 and the game from kazaa. You just need to download a good gp4.exe patch, i have a good one that works with the kazaa version !
