ZAZ tools doesn't load 2013 mod - SOLVED ;-)

I instaled /pdated car mod then when I click the start button ,GPX [patch pops up and says I need to unload it.
I click start then the game runs but NO 2013 mod.

plus ,withthe g27 ,I can NOt get a workablbe setting.
Feels like sriving a truck around at slow corners and slides off the track when the car wheels touch the kerb paint.
Also cockpit view feels like the car is going slower than a 4 cylinder car.

Go to your files and find the wadcache dir, delete the contents if any. Go to my files, (click my sig) and get the clean wad and drop it into the GP4 root dir and overwrite. That should solve the unload problem. Then look in my files for a G25 con file, I think there's a couple there, drop them into GPSAVES dir and load them, do the calibration and test.

Sounds like either your Grand Prix 4 or your CSM installation is corrupted.

If you cannot fix it try the 2013 Laptop Game version instead, which does not require CSM.

Don't have a wad cache directory.
The wad doesn't do nuything.

P.S. Ok renamed wad but the mod 2013 still doesn't work.


Has all the settings listed in ZAZ Tools so it installed properly.


Just doesn't work when you cick Start in zaz Tools.

Asks to unload GPX patch all the time.

i've had Zaz tools working before but then I ran into a problem where all the drivers names weren't showing up in game so I reinstalled deverything and now the 2013 mod doesn't work.

Start with a clean wad.

Doesn't work.
Unload GPX patch message.

The mod has installed properly.
i just can't start it because GPX patch is conflicting with it.
What do I have to do in gpx patch?

Wondering if it's a registry issue.

I have Grand Prix 4 installed on the C drive instead of info grames/grand prix 4.
Could that be it?

GPX patch works though in game.

It's just that the 2013 mod doesn't work even though it has installed properly in csm zaz tools.


Pulling hair out here.

Haven't a clue how to fix this.

Get CCleaner, uninstall everything. Run ccleaner and strip the registry entries, do it twice. Then re-install from scratch.

Ok Mortal thanks for the great help.


Will report back if I get it running.

Used CC cleaner 3 times to clean the registry.
It got rid of a ton of ZAZ files and GP 4 files from my previous install.


Reinstalled GP4 and zaz tools and reinstalled the 2013 car set.
Same problem as before.

Please unload gpx patch then the normal 2001 car set is loaded when I 'm in the game.
AT A LOSS.

Sometimes anti-virus software thinks CSM is a virus and stops it working properly. Look at your anti-virus software and try to make sure CSM (csmcore.exe) is not blacklisted. (Can you find the file called csmcore.exe in your ZaZ Tools folder? If it is missing then your anti-virus is the culprit).

Tried another mod and it's giving the same error.

Help.

CC cleaner didn't do it's job properly.

There is something hidden in the registry which is stopping the mods from loading.

It's there.

Lost for answers lol.

Game runs fine.

It just ignores the mods even though they are listen in CSM and installed.
Really weird.


There must be a registry item I haven't deleted that is completely unrelated to the CSM exe.

That is the exact version I am using.

I did buy the boxed version when it released way back when.

Are you installing GP4 from the original disc? Re-installing GP4 should fix the problem. After installing GP4 ( a vanilla installation from the ORIGINAL disc) run once, save gamestate and exit. Then install gpx_patch, run once via gpx, save gamestate and exit. (no need to start a race). Then install CSM, unpack the mod and install. Test.

If you do not have the original disc, it could be the root cause of the problem as the original installation is not as it should be.

I'm using gp 4 central.

Hmmm, so you have gp4central version, afaik it works fine with csm and all mods, something else is going on. It is not the registry, any extraneous entries are removed by ccleaner.

Yep it's something else wrong with your setup sorry. That version of GP4 works fine.

It does work here also.
It's only the mod doesn't load through CSM.

"unload GPX Patch and Gp4 first to restore" message

Otherwise everything is working.

Tried everything so I will just have to play the vanilla version without the 2013 mod.

My PC is fine.
All other driving sims are working fine.
