funny removal of things or not...

hi. this is odd. i installed the updated ferrari 2003 ga from gpx.it and of course i backed up my cars.wad. anyhow i installed the new car and one of the noticeable things was the fia logo on the right hand side of the inner part of the cockpit.

i didnt like this car so i deleted the cars.wad and just put my original cars.wad back into the game. when i ran the game (now with the original cars.wad) the fia logo was still there! and the carshape was altered slightly from original. in other words bits of the new carshape were still there but how could this be?
