Afaik there is not a tutorial, it would be far too complex. What you have to do is look at the structure of an existing complete mod and work from there. Placing the cars and helmets etc. is the easy part. Naming everything and getting all the ini files correct is the hardest part.

Start with an empty mod, use some other mods like 2006 or 1994 for reference, and then trial and error. As Mal said, the ini files are the most difficult part.

Some mods
F1 1996 | F1 2002 | F1 2007 | F1 2011 | F1 2013 | F1 2015 | F1 2018

Can anyone offer any advice into how to be sure that the correct installed car texs overwrite the correct car.

The mod is empty. No overwrite.

What I mean is that after placing the correct lods and texs in the relevant team folder. I seem to have six red bulls or something like that.

Team 1 (in this case it is Red Bull) is the "default" car. If you do not place some other car into each team folder, it will appear as a Red Bull.

Do you know how it would change the original car that the team folder is installed over.

Like Ferrari should be red bull
McLaren should be Mercedes etc

in line with the new team line up

I have looked in MODs and can not seem to find what I am after

The 2013 Empty Mod is already set up to replace the correct cars. There are 11 folders in Data\Cars, each named for one of the teams. E.g. Data\Cars\RedBull and Data\Cars\Ferrari.

Just put the files in those folders.

If you're trying to make a 2014 Mod and want to change the team order then look in Settings\GlobalVars.ini.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to after I install the 2013 Pirelli tyres into the correct folder in the empty 2013 MOD.

The format I used was from the 2013 mod on gp4 central.

When in game the yellow tread lines that should be on the outer walls of the wheel, it is more centred and rotates in a /\/\/\/\/\ line across the tyre.

Once I get one I will upload screenshot

The best way I found is study an empty mod, with try and error, and looking easy mods. But 1994 and 2006 are hard to study.

Try to download the 2012 CSM mod from gp4central and an empty mod, it´s the best way.

My f1 graphics file does list both lines as it starts in the attached topic

Not sure what else could be the problem?

Find this line in GlobalVars.ini and set it to 0.

Can anyone shed any light as to why tweaker settings might not be taking effect.

Also the 2DRim fixed my issue but has not worked for all the tires, only on one type.

Any ideas??

More detail required.

What tweaker settings are not taking effect? What files did you edit, and how?

For the tyres, you're probably missing textures. There are two sets of tyre textures you can use, called "bridgestone" or "michelin". You choose between them in the performance file. In the GP4 Central Mod, I only use "bridgestone" to keep it simple, so every team has the same type of tyres in the performance file.

If you want to use both types then you need the second set of textures, with "michelin" in the name as well.

For the tyres, if you just use my performance file from the 2013 Mod that will solve the issue you have with the textures.

For the tweaker positions files, I don't know sorry. All you have to do is copy & paste it into the right place. If that doesn't work something else must be wrong, but I can't say what it is, sorry.

I am presuming the correct location is the config file inside each car folder.

I will have a look at the performance file.

Thanks
