Question on 16 gb of ram

Hello guys,just an info,i'm thinking to update my pc from 8 gb of ram to 16 gb but i'm not sure about it xd,does anyone here already have 16 gb of ram on his pc?Or to have all this Ram will cause problems on my csm gp4?I'm running windows ultimate 64 bit as OS,thanks in advance guys

RAM shouldn't be an issue IMO. That's just yet to much that you'll ever use for GP4 with 8Gb, but it won't break anything.

I have 16GB of RAM it all works fine. I don't think GP4 can use more than 2GB without modifying the .exe or placing the remove2gblimit.cap file into the patches folder of a CSM mod.

ok,thanks guys,yes i do have already the removegb limit but even without the limit how much gb of Ram will gp4 use more or less?

This cap only works in 32Bit versions or 64Bit versions too? Can anyone please update the file, then I can do a quick check how much RAM is used.

I doubt it won't need more then 3GB at all (when using a very high res mod).

I did a quick test with 2009 Mod (it's the most high rest mod I have) at Valencia.

Everything on highest at 1680x1050, except lightning which is static. FPS = 53.

Whitout Patch: GP4.exe used 1.052.364kb
With Patch: GP4.exe used 1.063.311kb
