I have the "low sensitivity" set to 5%, no steering help and "reduce with car speed" 65%. Max lock 13% except for Monaco (20%). Msff wheel.

Current settings are :

Low Sensitivity set to 40%
Steering help set to NO
Reduce with speed set to 10%
Max Lock set to 20

I am experimenting with FF settings too.

The one thing that the low sesitivity may help with is reducing the oversteer on sudden turn in sections. With a low rear wing, thing could get frantic with real sesitive steering. But... I may miss my turn point, if the car is not sensitive enough.

Probably all up to personal taste.

I wonder if one could compare the low sensivity zone in GP4 to the non-linear/linear slider in GPL?

I drive 100% "low sensitivity" in GP4 and like it a lot.
In GPL, I use non-linear steering all the way, and it feels alot like the above 100% "low sensitivity" of GP4, minus the adjustment of lock and other options privided in GP4.

Would'nt it be the other way round, 100% low sensitivity in GP4 would be like linear (completely to the left) in GPL. I have GPL, full to the left and GP4 at 100% low sensitivity thanks to Morbid's tip above.

Now about those force feedback settings for the Logi Control Panel, someone must have some recommendations for them.

It's quite simple to see exactly how the steering reacts to different low sensitivity values. Stop the car and turn the wheel from left to right at a constant rate, and look at how the front wheels react. Try the Low Sensitivity at 50% and see yourself how the front wheels' rate of side-to-side movement varies as you turn the wheel at a constant rate. Even the force-feedback changes as you go in and out of the low-sensitivity zone.

0% will give you completely linear response from lock to lock. I prefer it at 1 or 2% to have it feel as linear and natural as possible. The 1 or 2% (rather than 0%) keeps it stable in a straight line. Then I reduce the excessive twitchiness at high speed by setting "Reduce with car speed" to around 40% if I remember correctly (my computer is kaput so I can't verify it).

I agree withthe OP.
If a GP4 car operated like real life then we wouldn't have any drivers left after a few races.

I remember having more fun playing the first F1GP on an Amiga with a digital joystick.
The Gp sims aren't set up properly for a steering wheel like other sims to me.

To twitchy and at the same time can't turn in high speed corners so two foibles in one.

Tried every setting practically and the G27 just doesn't work right with this sim.

Feels weird.

Tried these settings.
Car feels like a truck with ice skates on.
