Think of the potential finale, Stu. Three or four drivers could be in with the chance of a title, and a magical, double points race at one of our favourite racetracks will possibly produce the greatest spectacle the GPGSL has ever seen. I'm talking bags of points on offer, hard-charging drivers, heartbreaks, underdogs, thrills, spills...*is wheeled away into a padded cell*

For a heartbreaking moment I thought the FIA were serious, then I realised they were lol

Given Team Shadow's track record at Silverstone, I'd be ecstatic to see double points in the final round!

That sort of rule would have suited the TNR Silverstone boost spectacle alarmingly well!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
The only rule which could be maybe work in this league too: personal numbers. But not more points at the last event please. Only if you extend the race length. ;)

First podium: S8 Australian GP - 3rd at Testers sprint race

Yeah Exactly! If they should get such a rule in the GPGSL, let's double the workload of the Race Director ! :p

Personal numbers might be an idea.. Just like in F1 :-)

Race starts: 141 | Points: 886 | Podiums: 35 | Race wins: 10

I'd like to see a rule that you are required to have big fat numbers on either the rear wing or sidepod, 80's style.

I'm sure shapes could be mapped to suit both options without that much issue.

We've got fairly big numbers already.

I'm a no to both these rule changes anyway.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
I know the activity rules aren't in place yet but just so you know, I'll be away until tuesday (hopefully) as I'm moving to a house after years in this flat :-) (paid by my earnings as 3rd placed driver LOL)

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I like fixed numbers by drivers! =D

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
No more gimmicky rules please. F1 (the pinnacle of motorsport- what arse biscuits!) has already left me no interest.
Driver specific numbers works in NASCAR, but not in F1, or GPGSL.... i just think it would look too messy on the cars! I like a bit of common uniformity!

Agreed. Also, doesn't MotoGP use personal numbers as well?

They do Greg yes. Personal numbers is a marketing ploy to create brands around the drivers as in red 5 for Mansell, but our Nige didn't always run with that number. Seeing as the GPGSL as zero marketing, I don't see the point.

Fact: Schmacher used the number 1 more than Mansell used the #5. If anyone is to be an example if driver-specific numbers, it needs to be Schuey! ;)

I'm also no fan of fixed numbers, neither in F1 and even less in GPGSL. The better you drove (or the team you drive next season for) in the past season, the better is your number. I can partly understand the merchandising aspect of it in F1 (although that makes me even less a fan of it), but in GPGSL there is really no point for it and I think it'll only lead to fights over numbers. We have a system that works very well.
