Bummer! Taken out! Good start though, no idea how I made it up to 12th! Shame to not be able to stick around and see how it would have panned out. Onto the next round for me!!
Legge does a runner

Demon driver Jake Legge is leaving the Australian team at the end of the season, an official spokesperson has said.

Legge has raced for Demon in their first two seasons in the GPGSL and although he had a good start to Season 9, he has decided to pursue a new challenge next season in order to turn his luck around.

"I'm in talks with another team at the moment, I'm just waiting on the final few things to be tied up" said Legge. "I want to thank Glen for a wonderful two seasons at Demon, my regret is my time with the team didn't bear more fruit."

Hi all, I am now back on line with my new lap top with mega thanks to Mal. He spent hours helping set me up via phone line. (pulling his hair out, but we achieved) Mmmm, firstly, a mega apology to Maikel, for my absence, no one loves my snake team more than I.... I would never intentially let our team down Maikel and fellow team members. I am a bit overwhelmed at the support I received to keep my seat. I have read all remarks and comments and I agree with them all in total, negative and fore. Thank you guys for supporting and welcoming me back into your community. xxx. Ok, back to my race, No boost. Catch me next time if you can...SHE is back :-) Painted Nails and fishnet stockings....nah, sheer is nicer

WOW! Wasn't exactly expecting Jake to leave to go to another team - other than maybe as test driver to his own team perhaps???!!!! Hmmmmm....
The plot thickens.
Demon Racing thanks Jake Legge for coming onboard as one of our innaugural team members, and we hope we can see him off from Demon with some strong performances.
We wish Jake well, with whatever and wherever he ends up!

Plenty of talk on the driver market in the last few days. Just as well I have acted quickly, talking to many drivers myself in my role as team owner. We as a team expect to announce a prize signing in the near future....

"If in doubt, Flat out."
GPGSL Rd 12 Italian GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

Horvath has hit the wall coming out of Parabolica, which explains why the standings showed him down in 20th. That’s the race over for him.

There’s a battle taking place for the final points positions.

The timing confirms Horvath’s retirement, and also shows that Van Renselaar has lost two positions.

Karjalainen has his hands full defending from Mathew.

Down the straight, Mathew has managed to get close enough to try for a passing move.

And he manages to make the pass work into the chicane.

Having to deal with one Snake, Karjalainen now has to deal with the other Snake of Hayes, as well as Moinet and Rodriguez.

The replay shows that Karjalainen had run wide after Mathew had managed to get by, which allowed the cars behind to close in.

Fastest lap now belongs to Elleker.

Moinet tries for a passing move on Hayes.

Rodriguez will surely have the best view of this battle.

It’s close between Hayes and Moinet, and Rodriguez is ready to pounce should they make contact.

Moinet succeeds in getting by Hayes, and now Rodriguez looks for his chance to get by.

It looks like he was able to get by the Snake without any dramas.

Pedersen still leads out in front.

We have a yellow flag situation, as the timing shows that Greidanus has been passed by Maverick.

Greidanus is in the sand trap. What exactly has happened here?

Replay time. Greidanus was in battle with Gilson, and was trying for a passing move on the SCR.

But he ends up locking up his brakes, and as a result he spins off into the sand.

It seems Greidanus had hit Gilson in the process, which is why Gilson is off as well.

Gilson is forced to wait for everyone to go by before he can rejoin.

As for Greidanus, he is still stuck in the sand.

As we focus on Van Renselaar, the timing shows that Pedersen is now out of the race. Hang on, that’s the race leader!

Here he is, stranded on the side of the track as the marshal begins to push his car away. He must’ve hit the wall at Parabolica in the same way that Horvath did. Pedersen will be heartbroken, as will everyone else at MAC Racing.

Back to this situation now, and it seems Gilson has finally managed to rejoin the track.

Greidanus has also rejoined the track.

As a result of Pedersen’s retirement, Jalving now leads the race with Greenhalgh behind him in 2nd.

Maverick is now up to 4th.

With the race now 7 laps in, let’s take a look at the standings.

Cartwright is doing his best chasing down Schieder in the remaining MAC.

He is much closer now.

Heading towards the chicane, Cartwright goes to the inside for a passing attempt.

But he wasn’t close enough to make it work, so Schieder is able to hold onto his position.

Cartwright hasn’t given up yet, and tries again to get by.

He goes up the inside.

But try as he might, he just isn’t able to make the move work on Schieder as he can only draw up alongside.

Hayes is now down in 19th, as indicated by the timing. We need to see what happened to her.

From what the replay shows, Hayes was doing her best to defend from Rodriguez.

While doing so, she ends up running off the track and spinning back onto the track.

At least she is able to continue on.

Schieder is now in 14th and seems to be recovering from a spin. Time for another replay.

From Cartwright’s view, it seems that Schieder had a big lockup, which also caused Cartwright to lock up as well.

He tried to get by Schieder, but instead he ended up hitting the rear of the MAC, causing Schieder to spin.

Schieder won’t be too pleased with what just happened.

Here are the top 3 cars.

It’s time for another break. We’ll try and be back soon.
