I'm confused mate, I though Ruben had changed the version that existed post Donnelly's accident in 1990 to the one prior to the accident.

Or was the track also changed in another way?

afaik only the upper one exist for GP4, so restoring the alex criville corner would result in the lower version.

You're right Tobi. It's imo the best layout of the track. I will have also a go at the pitlane, it needs a big overhaul.

Not much. The calender has been revealed. And a few more launches over in the team launch thread have taken place.

@Ferrari2007 and Incident 2k9, any word on the progress of the season reviews? Or has it been very busy to make progress?

I think they 've made perfectly clear a bazillion times that it's very time consuming and that they dont have the time for it now.
You're prefectly fine to try it out yourself. Who knows, you might have the skill for it

Haha I didn't realise there was a chicane on the back straight in the 1980s, I did think the F1 2013 version was different to GP4 but thought it was just my memory or something :P

I can have a look at it, but it might be too much effort to move everything across. The current one isn't perfect but it is good enough.

@Ed: we already have one, and I've put the templates in the same category and linked it on the main page, so that they're easier to find. Also, I've opened an adoption request, as our founder and only admin (Gaulty?) hasn't been active there for about 2 years. Once it's completed, I'll give you and Jake more rights there, seeing that you two are the ones with the most edits.

At this stage, MAC Racing will be staying with last years livery as I dont have access to the files. I am pretty sure that when I sent them in last season they were in .psd files so if the names and numbers can be updated by the mod compiler they will be right to go for this season. Thanks

Greg, Rod is talking about implementing the pre-1996 car number format.

It's something that has been discussed before and actually seemed quite popular, but the problem would be the scrap for the most popular numbers.

Personally I'd want 5 and 6, but I'm guessing so would a fair few other team owners. 27 and 28 would also be a set that would be desirable.

You'd probably also see teams wanting to switch after a season anyway, making the system effectively pointless.

Ed, Jake and Tobi - Thanks for keeping the Wiki up to date guys. I've done the odd change here and there but simply don't have time to keep up with all the changes.

To be honest, I don't like the idea of fixed numbers. I think it would look incredibly messy, for starters, when listing the teams in the original post or on the wiki. Because I know that there are other people not actively involved in the series who do follow the proceedings, it could potentially be quite confusing too.

The system we have now isn't perfect, especially if champions move teams or we have the drama we did last year with test numbers, but at the end of the day it's a damn sight more easy to follow than a seemingly random array of numbers that have no rhyme or reason. Plus, it also messes up the order of the performance file; does one go by numbers or championship order?
