I suck at Imola.
I can't even begin to describe how badly I suck at Imola.
When it comes to Imola, I'm like James O'Conner when it comes to.........well Rugby in general, Penalties in particular.

Naturally I'd like to avoid driving Imola, and drive Bahrain instead.
I know how to use TSM to change the tracks when using a CSM mod.

But, occasionally, I like to play vanilla GP4 for the nostalgic factor - and the better performance on my crappy PC.
So.........How do I use TSM to swap tracks in Vanilla GP4?

I'm sorry if it is a bit of a noob question, but I'm still not all that familiar with the various GP4 tools out there.

Thanks in advance,
AUS_Doug.

The answer to your question is in the FAQ. Using TSM without CSM & or installing tracks manually.

I would use GPxPatch, and the new Track Manager that is part of v4 of GPxPatch.

You simply put the Bahrain .DAT and .WAD files into a folder, then point slot 4 (to replace Imola) at the .DAT file. GPxPatch will load Bahrain in place of Imola.

Wow.......That certainly seems simpler; I only went the TSM route 'cause I knew how to use it already.
I take it, that with the GPxPatch method, you don't get to change trackmaps or loading screens?

Actually you can, and it's really easy. Just put the trackmap (.gpi) and loading screen (.bmp) in the same folder as the .dat and .wad. GPxPatch will see them and do the rest!

NB. You need at least version 4.0 of GPxPatch for this.

Sweet.
And good to see that SDI is STILL updating GPxPatch.
