Something comes through my mind :

with the extension of the track length up to 20 km and possibly number of laps up to 250, we have now possible race length of 5000 km (if I didn't missed something). But with still only 3 pit stops for a race we have now a max run of 1250 km within two pit stops which is not very realistic IMO.

Is there a way to patch the game and have more than the 3 max pit stops per race we have now ?

Is it possible to adjust the Magic Data in order to have a very low fuel consumption ?

In fact Matthieu that's not an issue : fuel consumption is calculated for one lap in magic data, then the game automatically adjust the fuel load for the number of laps required by the pit strategy.

Currently, you can have up to 3 pit stops during a race and you can indicate in md when they will occur. You can manage to make them very accurate, but it will work as well if it's not accurate and in that case the game will add enough fuel to go 'till the end of the race. As an example, for a 100 laps race you could make the cars pit every 15 laps. So you'll have first pit stops at lap 15, second pit stops at lap 30 and third pit stops at lap 45. Then the cars will run 55 laps to the end without pitting. Obviously, that's not realistic and won't happen in real life, but it's possible in GPx.

The same way, what I was saying in my post above was that driving 1250 km or so without refuelling doesn't look realistic and that it would be nice if we could have more than 3 pit stops during a race.

So all that's needed is a simple tweak to limit the size of the AI's fuel tank, because if it was limited to say, 30 laps, then the AI would realise it had very little fuel, and be forced to pit.

That's my solution anyway..!

That's a nice idea, don't know if it's possible to implement it though.

In an other way, with mixed weather conditions, AI cars could pit more than 3 times to change their tyres, and if I'm correct they refuel as well at the same time. Maybe there could be a way to force them to change the tyres even without changing weather conditions ?

you know I allways had some troubles with the plankwear shown in game. Now I think, I got it:

If you start a new game, everything is allright, but if you load a savegame the plankwear is hidden and can only make visible by pressing '^'.



My lines in the GPxLap.ini are:

Enable=1
DisplayDuration=3000
Font=courier
PitSetupMenuOn=1
ShowWear=1
ShowWearInRace=1
ShowWearInQualify=1


Would it be possible to fix that?

You can't change the duration, but you can re-enable it on camera change with:

[Misc]
DisableRidingWithOnCameraChange=0

in gpxpdata\gpxsat.ini

Loving the new update. Just one thing that bothers me is this:



Overlays aren't displaying properly on widescreen (they aren't going the whole way across). Any way to fix this?

and:
