I have had totally 4 BSODS directly (I don't know the exact reason but it was something about the sounds). With the original game - no problems. But if Im using 3D accelerated sound with EAX or the second option (at all if Im using 3D sound) the laptop crashes! I had changed the GPxSound a few times to check from where was the error coming - no success. 3D engine sound gives me very silent sounds, 3D pit siren (I don't notice difference). I had not touched the 2D engine sounds.

But at all this was my horrible experience. Im using clearly installed XP SP3 with all the latest drivers but looks like GPxPatch is at war with me if Im using 3D sounds at all.:(

The old classics will be always better than the newest games.

The 3D sounds don't work properly. I've just fixed that for 4.21.

If you get a BSOD then it's probably a driver problem. You could try to change some settings like "Use voice management" and "3D algorithm".

I will test every sound option in 4.21 too. Thanks for noticing this and for the attention.:-) I will keep you informed.

Hi René, here the track map isn't displayed in free practice mode.

Edit: now it works. Not sure why it didn't before.

Hi Rene, did you implement the ability to change the text colour like I asked for at the bottom of this page? If so, how, I can't find it in the changelog! :S If not, could it be in the next version pretty pleasee? :)

Hi
Just want to know if there is an option in this patch to view the amount of fuel available in the car?

@spencer4242: I said it can be done, but didn't say when :) There are many more things that need to be configurable in GPxSAT, so I had added this to that list. I can't just implement everything people ask rightaway, I'm already working double full-time on this while prioritizing the long list of open requests. If you're interested to know, my intention was to make modding GPxSAT more general, with a new section in the .ini file for the custom mode, with an entry that says which existing mode it is based on, and with its own directory of graphics. I'll see if I can implement your request without interfering with this idea.

@lalboy: Yes, in GPxCInfo you can add a Fuel item.

By the way what will happen if I enable the "fix pit stop bug" and how can I remove the speedometer from the cockpit view?

Hi René

Thank you so much for the new version and your "fast as lightning" progress. I really appreciate your work and all the time you spend on making our GP4 experience so much better. (Y)

I have to issues, that maybe you can have a look at:

[*] Can I toggle track map on/off, because I want to take a screenshot with all the other gpxsat info, but with the map off
[*] Pit time doesn't seem to work anymore with 4.20. Just shows the gap info instead

This things are just minor issues, I enjoy GP4 so much more already with the new TV overlay.

Press '8'.

It seems to work fine here. Do you have a screenshot of it?

Hi René, thanx for the fast reply. As for the map: shame on me not to read the manual on your website ;-)

the pit timer does not seem to work only in replay mode. maybe that has been mentioned too before?

I watched the stop of massa in "live mode" and in replay. only in replay it didn't show. Here is a picture from replay:

oh, and just by the way: are national flags coming in the future? that's the only new feature that is missing for me...

This is a known limitation (but I probably forgot to document it). I'm storing the pit lane time for each driver, but this is not saved in the replay buffer (no room for it). Hence, when I would show it during a replay, it would show the wrong time. That's why I'm hiding it. The normal pit stop timer should still work though.

The national flags are almost there.

I really look forward to the fixed 3D engine sound, but I have another thing as well:

Would it be possible to add an opportunity for laptime-management through GPxPatch?
I mean a panel of GPxSAT or GPxInfo, where I can give target values for the sector 1, sector 2 and laptime (e.g. 1:24,xxx) and the panel shows me for every lap or even every sector how much I am too fast, respectively too slow at the moment.

I just thought about this, because I tested a few laps with very high tyre wear like the real Pirelli-tyres and thought it would be great to have better opportunities for tyre-management ;-).

I ask my question again:

Is it possible to disable the function of gp4tweaker to show the tweaker overlays in gp4, if you press "Ö" on keyboard?

Maybe you can try to ask it in a new thread, because this thread is about GPxPatch :)

This is done in director's cut by pressing 'D'.
