GP4 1992 F1 Season Mod - Version 1.10 (RELEASED)

Fortunately there exists a very easy solution for the problem with the TSM error message, that is based on the "english.str" patch mentioned above and an editing of the TSM track "settings.ini" file:

If in the first tracks "settings.ini" a name is specified like

name=Kyalami

the menu will show this name instead of the name "Albert Park" from the menu file, thus giving a correct display.

With this we can safely patch the "english.str" to avoid the TSM error and don't get any disadvantage

I will create a new GPaediaMaker version (1.03) that will automatically do the replace by using an extension of the gpaedia.ini specification "make_str":

make_str = 0 : (OLD) no menu files created
make_str = 1 : (OLD) menu files created with names given in track.csv
make_str = 2 : (NEW) like 1 but track1 gets the name "Albert Park", for use with CSM and TSM

Very nice idea Petrus My TSM track "settings.ini" already features that string "name=kyalami", because I created new tracks profiles for 1992 season; I'd just like to know how to patch the "english.str" file properly to change the name to Albert Park, should I open it with notepad?

I recommend using the freeware editor notepad++ because it shows the delimiter [NUL] very clearly.

* GPaedia for 1991mod v.3 with CSM/TSM compatibility
* GPaediaMaker 1.03 with the ability to create CSM/TSM compatible menu files.

Sorry Petrus for bothering, are you sure you've updated the links of the 1992 gpaedia archives? because I clicked on "post above", downloaded the two archives, made all the process to update 1992 mod with your files but the same TSM error message appears again, it's like they are the same Gpaedia files created with 1.02 version Sorry again if I can't get it worked...

You're quite right, I made an upload mistake and you still got the old versions without CSM/TSM support.
It's corrected now so please download and try again.

I also noticed this:

* Emmanuele Naspetti => Emanuele Naspetti

Bailey runs for Brabham in Hungaroring (just in qualify).... so this is because his name shows on perf file.

About the other questions, I will fix all the other ones and release a new mod ok?

About physics, phantman is working on new ones to us.

I did not find anything about Julian Bailey in f1 season 1992.
Anyway, if we want to include him into some races (that Brabham in reality didn't run), we should add the driver and helmet pics.

Julian Bailey was rumored to join brabham duringthe 1992 season (possibly in place of damon hill) but it never materialised. Eric Van De Poele moved to Fondmetal for Hungary leaving just Hill driving a single Brabham.
For the purposes of this excellent mod i think its a great idea to put Bailey in the second brabham seat for hungary onwards!!!

Thanks a lot Petrus for the update! Just one question: since I've already installed the 1992 gpaedia before this update, should I only replace the older files and folders with the content of "1992_mod_changes_addon" archive? Or is it needed to generate again the gpaedia from the updated CSV files?

Exactly.
But you will still miss the driver/helmet pictures of Julian Bailey then.

No, it is not. I just gave this link for anyone who is curious about exploring/editing gpaedia CSV files and eventually make his own gpaedia version that way using GPaediaMaker.
