I regret very deeply and painfully the attitude he took with his latest update files Mercedes auto blocking and forcing more post Textures, that are already the same, with the whim of adding "main" and the block, again, the lods of cars make the creative act of preparing a job becomes a fact selfishness.

Instead of wasting a precious time with your so respectful speech , would be better if you could try to learn how to deal with shapes and textures , it is not so difficult for learning . The authors can make with their works whatever they want to do , we don't have to regret , just accept that . Those who want unlocked files for personal use in their MODs can go around to find out tutorials teaching how to do , there are some available , anyone can manage them .

Selfish? Comon dude, Hega dedicated time from his more important life to make this car and then share it with all of us that's
active in the community. He has locked the files to prevent leeching and that's okay to everyone.. except you apparently.
But hey man, I have a very simple solution for you..

If you want a Mercedes car that you can modify yourself how every you want, then go ahead an create one yourself. And hey, don't lock the files
if you feel that it's the right call, I personally don't care if the files are locked or not. They work and look fantastic ingame!

And one more thing... we all should be happy that people are still releasing up to date stuff to this game that's accually passed the 10 year mark.
Many other game does not have these dedicated fans and artists anymore and some of us are just greatful to be able to play the best F1 simulation
ever released (my opinion, whoops!) that was released in 2002 with cars, tracks etc. from all seasons you could imagine, even the current ones.
Think about that before writing a comment like that, please!

So, you consider that spending hours during free time (besides true life, work, family and others priorities of life) to make a car and textures and sharing it with the community for free is selfish? What a strange conception of selfishness you have!
Having several textures for a car allow to not get strange glitches when the car breaks in game. This is not for the glory. If you look at the best GP4 modders, such as Raulongo, Fongu or others who work for years to keep GP4 alive, you will understand. Yes, it is possible to reduce the numbers of the textures but this is not necessary a good thing. Nowadays, the cars are more detailed with more parts and faces. To keep a good quality for textures, sometimes more textures are needed for the details to be correctly visible in game and as I say before to be correctly shown when the car breaks.
Today, most of the PC are powerful enough to force the game to run with lods_0 only.

And a last thing, modders are free to make and to share whatever they want. If a car is locked, this is also author's right, to avoid savage and crap conversions for other games that people release on their own name . But anyway, you don't need unlocked shapes to play GP4 (unless you have others intentions).

Sure, things can always be improved and constructive critics are always welcome .... But your message is not going into that sense...

As the philosopher says: "If you don't like it, don't use it".... or make your own one!But remember that modders release and share their works because they want to, not because they are obliged. They are not paid for that. This is not a due but a gift

And their many words do not say anything because the textures are the same, the same, than cars.

So much work someone did nothing but add "main" texture.
