Thrustmaster Nascar Pro Dig 2

Has anyone had issues mapping buttons on the Thrustmaster Nasacar Pro Digital 2 Racing Wheel in Grand Prix 4?
This wheel worked great in Grand Prix 3 but for some reason in 4, I can't get the game to recognize any of the buttons but one. And I want to program upshift and downshift as seperate buttons, but it won't let me do that because it only sees one button, (Fire 1) and it's rather frustrating. I tried the 9.6 Patch hoping that would fix it, but it didn't. HELP!?
