GP 4 Not Saving game after a session

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has had problems saving their game after a session. I only ask because after finishing a race I save the game, it tells me it's saved but when I go to reload the game I'm back to the start of the previous race and the progress has not been saved. Any help would be great thank you.

i don't think you can save a game after finishing it!
perhaps you could try to save the game short before you cross the line !

What I mean is that i'm in the middle of close 1982 championship. What i'm tying to do is save the season as i go along. It worked fine up until the Montreal race but won't save after that. Game says its saved but when I load it i'm back to first practice of the previous race. Any ideas ?

When you save the game, do you overwrite an existing file? If so, is it actually overwritten? If not, maybe it's read-only or something? Have you tried to save under a different name?

No SDI mate not overwriting an existing file always saved with a different name. Being doing it this way for years and never had a problem until now. Strange and very frustrating when half way through a good season I'm actually doing well for a change LOL.

Did you change anything in your installation compared to when it still worked? An updated tool or something.

No nothing updated mate, looks like I have to re-install

I had this problem once and it was the game state file was corrupted. try removing that file from your gp4 folder and try again. hope it helps...worked for me...
