Something weird ( + F1graphics )

Hi guys

Since the release of Isaint's haze filter, I wanted to tweak my f1graphics too. I can't tell you exactly which values I changed, but, doing a round in Monaco, going through the tunnel, this happened :







Does that happened to anybody?

never seen that myself in gp4 but i guess that's the same effect that is used in some other racing games to simulate the fact that your eyes need a bit of time to adapt to the darkness and the sunlight when entering/exiting the tunnel. cool

Hi! That happened to me once time (I think, year ago), when I downloaded f1graphics file from this GPG site. The same visual trick in the tunnel at the Monaco. I was highly impressed, but when I changed something in the graphics settings in-game, this trick is sadly disappeared (and I had no backup(). But, by the way, I thought that this thing is widespread among modders for a long time. And now it turns out that this is something new for the community. ^__^
ps and i don't find it 'weird', i think it is really cool feature)
and one question: is this thing related to enb? (i asking because, if i don't forgot, I've downloaded f1graphics file linked with enb settings from one of old topics here)

I also have this effect and the only modification I used for the game was a f1graphics.cfg one. I don't even use GPxPatch, so it is definitely the f1graphics.cfg.

I don't know how it happened either though. It just popped up some time ago, and I really like it as well.

And one additional question. Does this thing happens in other tunnels. I mean, for example, the Detroit track or Jimbob's fictional Shortwood Park with very long tunnel. Sadly I've tested this feature only in Monaco, before it disappeared.

I thought this effect was common knowledge for everyone :D I think it was this ...check this line from f1graphics.cfg (check of course that the first line ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0) set to 1)

3 ; [MAIN VIEW] Draw lens flare (0 => off, 1 => 'real' camera views only, 2 => all views but cockpit, 3 => always)

yep you're right Vesa, but for me it won't work . I've tried all settings but without success

Allways funny to see the game having very nice features, which the developers did not use for the final release .

So as I said in the OP, I was playing with my f1graphics. Here is what I managed to do if somebody is interested :

Brakeglows shot , before/after :

Onboard camera :



Monaco tunnel, external camera :



Monaco tunnel, helmet reflections :




The Anti Aliasing was disabled because of the videos I had taken earlier.
I'm still tweaking it, but I hope that you'll like it

Could you upload your f1graphics? Your GP4 looks amazing! My GP4 looks very old
