My imageshack album got trashed so instead of repairing the first Garage/Pitlane Project thread I thought I'd make a new one.

I always found the garages in GP4 empty places to hang out, so there's scope for 2d planes and textures.....animated of course

Amazing work as always,i can't wait to have those garage like the pit stand in my gp4,i hope you will find box images soon,xd i had a look on the internet but it's quite impossible to find good references

Dude, wherever you've looked I've already been there......I mailed Redbull and Torro Rosso yesterday asking for access to their private image bank, (generally reserved for the media), but I doubt I will get a response.
It's the usual ballache of trawling the web...lack of, or bad reference is the only thing controlling the pace of these constructions, if I could have 2 minutes in each garage with a digital camera they would be completed in a matter of days.
No-one ever takes photo's with dev in mind, they are always the wrong angle, lighting, obstructed, blurred etc, (I was actually screaming "get out of the effing way!" at my monitor) when I think I find a good image, only to see some gonk stood right in front of my view.
anyway....they get done when they get done, as and when I find textures.
I really need to have a PR session and try and hire a photographer to take the shots but I'm always too busy, I'm going to advertise on FaceBook and ask around in forums , but it's a tedious process.

Dude, wherever you've looked I've already been there

Ram,you could contact via pm user: danm if you see in the f1 topic he said that he is going to watch this winter test at barcelona,so you could ask him if he could take some pictures of the garages,what do you think?

He he ...thanks Alessio, but I'm cool, sometimes I get into a negative frame of mind, I woke up this morning and in 45 minutes made this.....
Who needs photo's
It's easier and quicker to do it this way, I can't rely on photo's for textures they are just too poor quality. If the mountain won't come to Mohammed, take the mountain to him
It's just a simple conflict of workflow, I'll never be happy slapping a photo onto a polygon
