@Incident 2k9, it should be possible. How do you think people can use both Lotus cars? One has Kimi, the other has Romain. All I need to do is have 2 tga files. One for first driver, and another for second driver, and turn them into tex files. And if it doesn't work out, then I'll replace the name with a sponsor.

Yeah, but I don't think the GPGSL mod is created with two different liveries. One car template livery accommodates both cars; the original has the "car2" panels coloured in yellow and these overlap onto the car 1 pieces. If you open up the car2 .z3d file, you'll see each part that corresponds to that car.

I'm not able to explain it as clearly as I'd like, but that's the basic gist of it.

GPGSL: S6 - TafuroGP Tester (14th) /// S7 - ART Tester (6th) /// S8 - Demon Driver (13th) /// S9 - Demon/Snake Driver (13th) /// S10 - Snake Driver (???) ///]
"My ambition is handicapped by laziness" - Charles Bukowski
Yeah, it is doable.

I would use lod 1 twice, but rename the associated texture file so that each lod directs to a different texture file in the mod.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
I'll leave it up to the GPGSL board if I'll be allowed to use the drivers first name for both cars (and same for test drivers). In case I'm not allowed, or it doesn't work out, I'll make a second version that has the names replaced with a sponsor.

Currently the GPGSL mod is constructed as Jake says it, with one tex file covering both cars, as the SMD ZG-02 allocates different parts of the template for numbers/names on cars 1 and 2. Wouldn't be too difficult to swing one of the team slots to match the setup the GPGNC uses, a simple case of redirecting car 1 and car 2 lods to the different tex files used.

In other news just about to run the race, editing hopefully tonight, tomorrow is the day you guys should see it all!

Thanks boss. I'll try to do my best and will just have to hope that the mixed setup for the qualy, which allowed such a good time in these difficult conditions, won't get back on me for the race. I think I wouldn't mind a bit of rain for the race.

Mmm... The problem is I can't think as combine it well with the black band... True, if maybe stay well combined, would be spectacular (for me)...
It is similar to ScalaGP, you're right

Is that if I remove it from there, I don't know where to put it...

That's a good point, even if I don't know how and why someone who's not currently running in the league have to be active. What's the point to be active when you're not an active member ? I guess they could make a comment from time to time, but in the other hand I don't think there is a rule saying that a 'Team Owner on the Waiting List' has to be active.

Though, such a rule makes me move up five places in the list ;) Can't complain with that :-)

Bit late but i've put you on the waiting list, i feel your comment may have been missed a little.

Once again not the qualifying I hoped for! A great lap by Ed, once again the AMR's seem to be unbeatable..

Also a nice lap by Jack, he is showing great pace with the MPR! I cant seem to manage the tyres the way I want, but a 12th place could be worse. Its like driving on pizza's, and then I am not talking about the good kind of pizza, with ham, and cheese, and stuff like pinapple etc..

The race will be about maximun damage control, a lot is possible at spa! Now lets eat some good pizza first

Finally got round to watching quali.

Very pleased with my performance. Here's hoping I finally make it onto the podium :)

I bet Alex'll be well gutted, he worked on that Facebook livery for hours and hours ;)

He kept Sharing it, but it didn't seem to get too many Likes...

Facebook Racing will no doubt return with a venegance, with a new livery being forced down everyones throat, for existing team owners to use his livery.... delete him off the waiting list at GPGSL's own peril! LOL ;)

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
If they don't post then their teams will stay at the bottom. If any of the currently active teams don't post, they too will go to the bottom. This keeps the active ones at the top without deleting anyone.

The mod could be done with two tex files for each team, but this would create more work, so please keep to the single tex :)

The boost deadline for Germany will be announced after the Belgian GP has been posted.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian

If he isn't active on this thread, then he should have his team removed from the waiting list. Thing is, Alex has been active on other threads, so why he doesn't post here anymore is what I don't get.

So I can't have the drivers first name on the car? In that case, I'll need to find a sponsor to go in place instead of the name. Last name and drivers home country flags will stay as they are.

This is the latest update to the driver contract rules for everyone's consideration.

Rule 22 Amendment

22) Driver contracts

Contracts are defined as unwritten agreements between parties. As such they are a Gentleman's Agreement and therefore binding. The GPGSL will, if asked to do so, mediate on contract disagreements.

Note: The following rules have been defined to allow all parties entering into contracts to be aware of their obligations and to uphold their agreements in the spirit of the GPGSL series.

a) Duration of any contract is by agreement of all parties.
b) Contracts are valid and binding as soon as both parties have agreed to it. Contracts do not have to be announced immediately, but teams must announce their driver lineup prior to the first
race of the season and are requested to do so as soon as possible to avoid confusion for other team managers and to allow sufficient time for the GPGSL to build the mod.
c) Once a driver has entered a contract to drive for a team for any duration, that driver cannot drive for another team during the specified contract duration without approval from their team owner.
d) If a driver breaks off a contract and drives for another team without the agreement of the team owner, that driver will receive a 40 point qualifying and race performance penalty.
e) If a team owner breaks a contract and dismisses a driver without the agreement of the driver, the team will receive a 20 championship point penalty. Exception for inactivity on behalf of the driver.
f) Team owners are not permitted to poach drivers directly. Poaching of drivers will incur a 20 point championship penalty.
g) The duration of driver loans and swaps is to be clearly defined in any contractual agreement between teams and drivers. Teams removing drivers, or drivers exiting from loan or swap prior to the end of a contract without agreement from all parties will incur a team or driver penalty.
h) The GPGSL is to be given one round notification of driver loans and swaps to allow time for mod and perf changes to be performed.
i) The GPGSL will impose contract breach penalties when a clear case of a breach can be proved.
j) A contract between a team and driver is null and void when the GPGSL or a team owner removes a driver from the series for inactivity.
h) Penalties are defined as 20 championship points for teams and 40 perf points for drivers.
