Has anyone tried this...

I was just reading about everyones ideas of waht to do with the arrows slt and so I tried just DELETING everything to do with the arrows car in the cars.WAD.

I went into the game (knowing a CTD was going to happen) but it loaded up in a race!

Fantastic I thought but then I reliased what GP4 had done.

It had created a duplicate of the Jaguar. (D'Oh!)

I will have a look in the anim.WAD and other WAD files to see if I can permenatly delet every trace of the arrows team and see what will happen.

Has anyone else tried this?

Its possible to make a small cubic shape. A shape thats so small that we cant see it.

But collusion modell is not really releated to the shapes. lenght, wide, height of a car.

You can crash against an arrows which you dont see.

You can change this with jons collusion editor but it happens to all shapes then and the damage modell will be bad.

So thats no way.

Hope you understand what i mean.

each part on the carshape has to have at least one poly :)

and anyway, the wheels and stuff will still be there

true sasjag,

Each object on the car like left front wing, left bardge board, engine cover etc, needs at least one poly on it cos it crashs otherwise.

the wheels will still be there

Maybe this idea can work.

Try to resize the model into small one (about 32:1) and set the reference point toward negative Y axis so the model will "fly" in the air during race. Not necessary to change collision areas (or bounding box), but is not bad idea to set all 8 bounding box points for each car parts to 0,0,0.

Make your own car on the Arrows livery or copy a BAR shape (or use any other shape...) over the Arrows slot and race with your own fantasy car ;-) or download one of mine.... :P

I dont see the point in putting a fictional car in ebcasue thats LESS realsitic than running a 2002 Arrows! If ur desperate to get rid of them put in a 1995 Forti livery on the Arrows shape or sumfin like that, or a car u really liked, perhaps the 1994 pacific livery?

It doesnt matter what you do to the carshape, making it transparent or small or whatever, you will always have the wheels!

Maybe i don't really care about a 100% realistic carset. I like to drive with the big boys in one of my own cars.
