Problem Starting GP4 (Solved)

Well after about a month away from GP4 i've decided to try and install it on my new laptop. Problem i'm having is after installing it, it won't work. I've installed the patch and no cd exe. Then tried running and all i get is a black screen with a pointer. I ctrl alt n dlt and it says it's not responding. Tried installing GPxPatch and running it from that but i just get the same. Any help would be great thanks. Oh and this is the 2nd time i've tried installing

Run as admin and compatible mode xp on gp4.exe, gpx_patch.exe and csm activated?

Tried right click and run as administrator on the exe and the gpxpatch but no difference

I don't use CSM

I'm guessing Win 7 64bit?

Yeah that's correct mortal. Please don't give me the bad news that it doesn't work on windows 7 lol

You allready try the compatibilty mode for windows xp?
Right click on both exe select settings and then you see compatiblty
there you have to choose win xp
