If it had not been possible to mod GP4, the game would not have known such a success during 10 years... (10th Anniversary today, exactly)
Thanks to an active community, GP4 passed through the years and is still alive thanks to the first modders who ripped the original files and who created tools, edited files, updated cars, tracks and who created mods... Some people are still looking to buy this game in spite of its "old" age thanks to the talent of Geoff Crammond and also thanks to an active community who demonstrated that the game always remained one of the best simulation of F1.
