You forgot codemaster F12010/2011 community itself which is very active to mod this game.
It's surely for this reason I saw somewhere that F1 2012 will not allow to edit....even the textures...
If it's true, IMO it's a huge error. A game is existing by his community. If this community is considered only by his money
the dead of the game is close to occur.

It's surely for this reason I saw somewhere that F1 2012 will not allow to edit....even the textures...

If it had not been possible to mod GP4, the game would not have known such a success during 10 years... (10th Anniversary today, exactly)
Thanks to an active community, GP4 passed through the years and is still alive thanks to the first modders who ripped the original files and who created tools, edited files, updated cars, tracks and who created mods... Some people are still looking to buy this game in spite of its "old" age thanks to the talent of Geoff Crammond and also thanks to an active community who demonstrated that the game always remained one of the best simulation of F1.

There is a catch here.. Files are Super Compressed and zipped.. Mostly WADS...
And you probably use CSM

See.. There is the difference.. F1 2010 and 2011 took away a good 30 gigs of space.. Both Game and ISO...
GP4 has about 5 Gigs... My mod count at last update was over 60! Tracks.. don't ask...
