Hello.

This post is to say goodbye to all of you guys.
I've been playing GP4 for 10 years and it has always been a good game to play and the fact that it have been kept alive by the community is a proof of how good a game it is.

And to me, that's all it is: a game. A means to distract myself for a couple of hours. Nothing more, nothing less.

Unfortunately, I feel that the gp4 community has grown into something I don't like. I've made some good friends here, and those I will miss. But I have also met too many backstabbing, jealous, deceiful people for my taste. People who take a simple game far too seriously and who, frankly, don't add anything to myself as a person.

I am a fashion photographer. A quite successful one, by the way, and I have been traveling a lot this year, shooting campaigns and editorials. I am happy with my work. I love what I do. But unfortunately, for some, my work is getting in the way of gp4. I won't name anyone, you know who you are. To me, this is wrong, but it's my opinion only. However, this has been the last straw, the final disappointment, and it has tipped the boat for me.

GP4 has become a sad place for me. These past years I've released many cars, helmets, add-ons, tracks updates, and never got even a 'thank you' for it. Maybe a f**** you, but no thanks whatsoever. This community takes all its members for granted, and that's why so many good modders went away. I'm not as good a modder as them, but I decided to go away too.

To all the good friends I've made, Goodbye. I will miss you. Maybe we'll meet again, in another game.
To the not so good ones, good riddance.

You either do it because you like what you do and really want to help or you don't do it at all. Simple as that. Goodbye Jucksman.

I guess I've decided just to don't do it at all. Nice t-shirt, by the way...

Juliano, Jucksman, instead of saying goodbye rather saying see you soon.
Success in your career as a photographer and will be here always ready to receive it again.
Thanks for your great work.

Juliano, Jucksman, ao invés de dizer adeus prefiro dizer até breve.
Sucesso na sua carreira de fotográfo e estaremos aqui sempre prontos para recebe-lo novamente.
Obrigado pelo seu grandes trabalhos.

I understand the "no thanks" bit , but I create because I "have to", not because I need thanks, the fact that the community are here and downloading using your work is thanks in itself.
When you see a screenshot of someone using your work isn't that thanks enough ? When you see a mention or a credit in a conversation doesn't that give you the affirmation you seek?
I think your leaving for the wrong reasons, and now you just left a hole in the community......oh and maybe you should "grow a pair" you make enemies in all walks of life, don't let them win.

Agreed, a knee jerk entirely uncalled for reaction based on your decision to take four months off from the GPGSL. Sour grapes indeed. However it is your choice Juliano, even though I have stated in public and by pm to you that at the end of your sabbatical you are welcome to rejoin the series.
I stand by the decision of the GPGSL to remove you from the series to spare you from being dumped by force for failing to meet the activity regulations and thereby incurring a penalty and an embarrassing situation for your team.
The GPGSL worked within the current interpretation of the activity rules and a joint decision was made to choose the best possible outcome, both for yourself and for your team.
If you choose to call it back stabbing, it is of course your choice and being a public forum you like everyone else here has the right to free speech.
The GPGSL management team would of course call it acting in the best interests of yourself and your team by pre-empting you being dumped unceremoniously with multiple perf penalties and causing unnecessary grief to your team mates and team boss.
I'll remind you once more, that you are welcome to rejoin the series when you return. That was part of the deal the GPGSL thrashed out before moving on a decision.
However, topics such as this one you have created, belittling and blaming everyone but yourself, when I consider that it is you that is leaving for four months for work related reasons, certainly has not helped your cause.
I certainly wish you luck and like others here, I shall look forward to your return. You have my best regards.

Ah.....it seems this subject is more subjective than first appears, my response was in general, which doesn't seem to apply here.

I am sorry if you misinterpreted me, Mortal. Even tough I do not agree with you about this GPGSL issue, it isn't why I'm leaving. It's just that my motivation diminished over time, and I've became disenchanted with GP4 and the community.

I just stopped having fun with the game, that's the base of all. When you stop having fun with something, you need to search for something that will bring you the same level of excitement.
That's what I'm doing.

I wish the good people in the community all the best and I will surely miss all the good friends that I've made here.
