For me, i am watching Formula One since 1984, it was pretty obvious in 1994 that the Benetton of M. Schumacher was not legal. Even if you do not know any facts, which were posted here from some users (and i know many facts too since 1994) , there were some strange things going on which you can see even "on TV"!

And with people like Briatore, Walkinshaw and M. Schumacher - who is surprised?! smile

Nobody mentioned for example the season of 1997 - does really someone believe that D. Hill was so quick - for example in Budapest - with a legal Arrows car?? It was Walkinshaw in command with Arrows in 1997... And it was pretty obvious again, that - 100% sure in Budapest - the car was not legal!

But, it happens in Formula One - and it happens often... and many times, for sure also in the Ferrari era 1996-2006 with M. Schumacher, nobody did discover it.

And sometimes, like 1989 with the "big french FIA president" (Senna/Prost) or 1994 with the Benetton of M. Schumacher, it is so obious, but nobody can do anything about it.

And because someone said something about Honda prefer Senna and not Prost. I read many things about that, and it does not look like that. That was just politic, again from Prost. Honda proofed him many times wrong. And, if you look to the 1988 season, there could also be the possibility , that Honda prefer Prost!
Prost was always complaining - and never had a clear chance to beat Senna. And it was not because of Honda!

so, following your logic, we should conclude, that the force india in 2009 at spa and monza was illegal as well ?!? but REMARK, only the force india of fisichella at spa. (sutil was miles behind). sorry but i dont think your logic applies to f1 in general (maybe only in some particular cases)

I can see where you're going, but I'm not sure it really works like that. Walkinshaw ran Arrows until 2002, but didn't managed to repeat the form of '97. Hungary was a combination of a few factors, but mainly the track being very well-suited to Bridgestones, and also Hill being on top form at a track where he always ran very well.

With regard to Schumacher/Ferrari and Prost/Senna, I think you might be confusing politics and team preferences with actual cheating.

With Ferrari/Schumacher - it was a war at that time, and Ferrari mostly got the FIA behind them... and, the english teams were not smart enough - on the track, off the track and "in the FIA office!"

I think you both do not know how far the teams are going... they are going to the edge and beyond! If nothing is proven, that means not, that all is legal!

Clearly every team will push the rules to the limit and ocassionally beyond it. But it's over the top to simply assume that anyone who has an advantage on any given event is cheating.

He's forgotten to mention the time at Spa in 2000 where Hakkinen obviously had solid rocket boosters on his car which gave him the extra straightline speed to pass Schumacher.
