Ive heard RBR look good through the corners but we expected that.

I suspect they will still be quickest overal but I expect Mclaren, Ferrari and Merc to be alot closer than they were. Maybe Renault too! Id be very supprised if RBR dont turn up to Bahrain with the fastest car.... But im sure the others will be right behind!

Mclaren launch tomorrow, after the diversity of the cars, Mclaren's launch isnt really exciting me much...

Jerez is usually more of a performance track so might be able to make a better judgement there :)

The car is looking quite cool, but dear god this launch is boring. This must be a Ron Dennis idea.

All I can say is: RADICAL, especially the insane sidepods. The rest is brilliant.

From the handful of pics I've seen so far, I think this might be my new favourite in terms of looks :)

That would make it:

1. McLaren
2. Mercedes
3. Renault, brought to you in association with Proton t/a Lotus Cars Group.

/edit Interesting that a few new cars have sprouted extra air intakes around the normal one on the rollbar. KERS cooling, perhaps?

Not sure if I like it or not. The car looks "lumpy". I may need to see more pics.

There were rumours of L shaped sidepods but I wasnt that way round.

Looks, interesting. I think I like it.

Lets hope they make the double floor concept work better htan Ferrari. It looks top heavy compared to the rest... We'll soon see. It is very different, and I applaud Mclaren for doing that but its a very dangerous approach. The whole thing is a new concept, its not like a development from a proven race winning (or decent) concept. I hope it works out for them.

Comparing RBR and Mclaren from 2009, 2010 and now is interesting. One team has changed its car dramatically, the other hasnt and has bagged a WDC. As I said, I applaud Mclaren but we'll see how it works out.

But good news is Button was happy yesterday and the data seems to match up on their sim, but how many times had computer data matched track yet there still be a problem.. well countless. So too early but early signs about tyres for JB and Mclare are good i suppose :). JB NEEDS to up his game. He was okay, but he did get trashed by Lewis more than he should have. If doesnt improve I expect/want Kobayashi in the car :p

Ill still be a JB bumboy but I dont watn to see a Mclaren seat wasted :p

first team not to use max width diffuser i think. needs more pics. but the more i think about it, the more I feel big changes like this will lead to a step away from RBR, Ferrari. Risky.

the new McLaren reminds me of one of those fake cheapy plastic f1 car model toys you see in various spanish holiday resort shops. You know, sponsored by 'Modophone' and 'Simon'.

I don't mind the McLaren, but the sidepods do spoil the look of it a bit.

the sidepods remind me to the 95/96 benettons but more extreme.

The rear end looks bulky compared to the other cars this year.

Seconded. And in addition, they are HORRENDOUS. In fact, the whole car is horrible (except the livery, which is brilliant since 2007). But that doesn't matter, the thing is whether it's competitive or not, isn't it?

Any there any hi-res studio shots for media? Last year they've supplied shots of 3000x2000px images.
