Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Yeah that's where I was thinking, would be a weird place to put it but it could be somewhere around there

Wouldn't it become too hot there?

If Sauber sort the livery, it's got potential looks-wise. I do quite like it.

The Lotus looks cool as well, nice to see a bit of bravery in the design. I like the new arrangement of green and yellow too. But really...how many drivers do Renault need?

Unsure about the exhausts at the front for the Renault. Would surley create more mess than desirable downstream? An exhaust ploom isnt exactly the easiest thing to model so putting where downforce is (almost) at its highest would be a real feat. Not only that but the splitter area is one of the most sensitive areas aerodynamically, especially with the flat bottoms. If they have then unsure why they would want to. it's the rear end I would have thought blowing would be more useful. Hopefully get some confirmation on that one though. I expect them to be where the body work meets the diffuser, just well hidden. But as I say, if they are indeed at the front then it would be awesome to know the reasons!

The Renault looks tiny at the rear though. Not enjoying the livery at all. Likewise with Sauber. It just looks a mess! The car looks pretty awesome but the sponsors just ruin it for me.

Here?

Not a hope. That's never an exhaust in a million trillion years. Remember Kimi's Ferrari at Magny-Cours? There's a heck of a lot more to an exhaust than an exit hole, and all I see there is a hole - no heat shields or anything.

If it is a front-exiting exhaust, the only place it could be is under the drivers seat.

Personally I think I can see an exhaust just forward of where a 'standard' blown diffuser would be - there's either a reflection there or an indentation. I think it's a fairly standard exhaust exit to be honest.

Edit: OK, looking at Chet's link, that last one is a no-go. Is it open in the regulations to have the exhaust exiting under the car, in front of the diffuser? I'd guess not. I'd also imagine it would make for an exceptionally nervous car - like the blown diffuser, but magnified.

So.... what's next?

The Williams will be blue (not final livery), does anyone know if they're using their flywheel this year or not?

The Red Bull and Toro Roso willl be predictable.

The Mercedes we have sort of seen.

The next big unknown are Mclaren, but I can't see them changing much except taking all the banned parts off the cars, lol.

What's that hole in the engine cover then? Can't that be an exhaust like RedBull had, a single one in the middle?

I wondered that too. There's also a gap under the bodywork just before the suspension... just where it tapers away. But that would get too hot.

I can't see the exhausts on the Ferrari either???

Its just a general hot air outlet like RBR's.

Im pretty sure RBR never had an exhaust like that? They did have a hot air outlet there since 09.

The bit where the bodywork meets the drive shaft, all that area i think is a general outlet too but thats where I expect the exhausts to be, but if people are being told they're not at the rear then who knows :p!

I agree with Chet and Gav. It's more likely that the exhaust is under the rear bodywork. As nick pointed out, you could use the bodywork and top of the diffuser as a sorta double diffuser. It won't be as effective as the old version, but still.

Thanks for the great pictures Raulongo! Looks like Kubica changed his helmet again, but I'm not a fan of it.

Guys, I have tickets for the first Test Session later today in Ricardo Tormo's Circuit. I'll try to post from there any news right from the track :)

thx for the pics Raulongo, that Sauber looks menacing

and nice Petrov honouring Mother Russia in his helmet

not a fan of the Renault but, does anybody else find this interesting?

"The Chapman family kind of likes what we are doing," he added. "Not because we are better or worse or whatever, but because at the end of the day we're not pretending to be any sort of link or legacy to Chapman, in terms of the team. This [Renault] is completely different."

If it's just the money, then pay them their commercials' income and see if they'll leave the name. I think he's just trying to build a moral background to support their case. I don't think the court will consider the views of Chapman family.
