Pedro was not doing a bad job. Just not a great one...

Im very happy to see Nick back in the car! I hope he can make an instant improvement to prove his worth. Good guys always get another chance ;-)! Pedro did, and now its Nick's turn. He's at home at Sauber :)!

It would be huge if Sauber are able to challenge Williams and FI but heres hoping :)!

Can't wait to see how Kobayashi does against Heidfeld. This should be his first benchmark driver...

Apart from Jarno Trulli last year... who he beat at Abu Dhabi.

Kamui should be faster than Nick now, he already knows the car.
But if they stay for next season, we'll see a great battle.

I thought as Pirelli test driver he couldn't drive for any of the teams this season?? Surely this gives Sauber an advantage even if it's a small one.

I think that he's using the rest of the season to sharpen up, so he can get a car more adapted to him for 2011. Good call by Sauber.

Yay! Quick Nick is back! :D

Good move on the Pirelli to get a drive for next year. Smart nick is smart.

excellent - Sauber now have an excellent driver lineup - a fast rookie, who isn't making too many silly errors, and an experienced hand to help develop the car. Excellent!

I agree that its a bit harsh on Pedro. He's outqualified Kamui 4 of the last 7 races, which shows that he has had decent speed. He's just been unlucky in the races - such as at Shanghai when he had a mechanical failure when in 4th. Spa probably sealed the deal for him to go - spinning out of the points with 1 lap to go, after spinning in qualifying as well, is not a good look.

It will be interesting to see how Nick goes. He should have taken that drive from the start of 2010.

Yes they did. I don't find Nick H. to be all that good but he is a better driver/racer than De La Rosa with more recent racing experience through all the years that Pedro sat out doing limited testing.

I think I'm kinda delighted for Heidfeld and disappointed for De La Rosa in equal measure. Still, I believe Heidfeld will only do good for the team, in the meantime; - according to epsn - De La Rosa would be welcomed at HRT. It might seem like a kick in the teeth for Pedro after what I think has been a mostly unlucky as opposed to uncompetitive season, but at least it will be a chance to stay in F1 a bit longer and it would do wonders for HRT to have a Spanish driver who is capable of bringing money to the team (I think) and also has a wealth of experience in developing cars.

He didn't bring much to Sauber!

Burger King sponsored Sauber and they do have a presence in Spain, where McDonald's is reigning supreme.

I think Pedro would be better taking over Heidfeld's role as Pirelli tester, in the short term, and then hoping he gets a role in 2011. At worst, he would probably get his McLaren job back to give them the inside line on Pirelli.

HRT would be a waste, because it seems he doesn't have much money behind him, and just look at Klien and Chandhok - money is more important than speed.

@Ferrari2007 - Pedro hasn't got anywhere near as much experience as Nick, and hadn't raced for 3 years before this year - look how bad Schumi's doing to see how badly the skills become rusty in that time

Poor Pedro, lets pay our respects with a summary of his best bits from F1.
