I think, this season we had 5 driver fighting for victories regularly, something that didnt happened some years ago when there was only 2 or 3 drivers fighting for the championship. Now we have the best drivers in the good cars, something that I think wasnt happening since the late 70s. so I took the results from 1974 to 1979, when there was moreless 5 or 6 drivers fighting for wins every weekend (i obviated 71, 72 and 73 because in these years all was between Fittipaldi, Peterson and Stewart)
1974 Hulme/Fittipaldi
1975 Fittipaldi/Lauda
1976 Lauda/ Hunt
1977 Scheckter/ Lauda
1978 Andretti / Andretti
1979 Laffitte/ Scheckter
so, in those years when we had a quality grid (Lauda, Peterson, Fittipaldi, Reutemann, Scheckter, Hunt, Andretti, Laffitte, Depailler, Regazzoni, etc), like today (MS, Rosberg, Alonso, Hamilton, Webber, Massa, Vettel, Button, Kubica) only
1 TIME!!! the driver that took the first race took the championship.
