I guess since the barcode has gone...

Seems like a random time to do it, couldn't they find a designer for this when they got rid of the barcode?

Well Ferrari hasn't won a race for a while, they have to hit the news some how ;)

On a more serious note its a nice design, a bit more "modern".

Monil's twitter page something along the lines of fag packet, and I agree!

Nice, but I'm expecting it to be placed on car somehow that 1 corner will be cutted of and it looks again like original Marlboro logo. ;)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Yeah I agree, I hate to say it but the left-hand corner says "Malboro" to me even more than the barcodes did. I suppose they've still got to get that association in there somewhere as long as Phillip Morris is still backing them and then again they've got, what, another 3-5 years before the EU spots the obvious thing about it...

I LOVE this logo because it means F1 is finally Tobacco Free (in terms of logos) however Ferrari will still have Marlboro in its official title :(

Ironically, the new logo was the only good bit of Ferrari's British GP weekend - haha :)

Except for the money that is exchanged between Ferrari and Philip Morris Group.

To me it looks more like a fag packet/logo than the previous logo...

Much prefer soemthing like that down the cars side, or if thats too RBR, then the simple ;

does more for me than any other Ferrari logo.

How can F1 now be Tobacco free when James Allen still says Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the press conference.

That's the team name. It isn't Tobacco free at all.

I meant on the car and its logo, it should hopefully be gone for 2012!!

Unfortunately, the logo looks like half the Marlboro "hat" :(

That's just a Marlboro logo cut in half.

The way Ferrari's race performances are going, maybe Phillip Morris will just pull the plug and stop wasting their money on the team anyway. That would then finally be the end of it!

I quite like it when the teams have one-off film tie-ins, usually at the Monaco GP (Coultard in the Superman cape being the most memorable).
Wouldn't it be fun to see Webber and Vettel swap their regular race suits for a Tron outfit when that sequel comes out!

Virgin pit crew dressed as werewolves in a Twilight promotion? Who'd make a good Karate Kid? Sorry I'm going off-topic now - ignore my ramblings.

We've talked about tobacco, Marlboro or Phillip Morris as much this season as we did in all the seasons that the Marlboro logo was in the car's livery.

That's pretty much an enormous FAIL for those who wanted to get rid of the tobacco relationship with F1..

Banning Tobacco advertising in any form is actually a fail. They are still bringing in the same amount of money as before, but not spending as much on advertising.

Exactly. Stating that the bar code is related to a tobacco company is a priceless advertising for such company by itself.
