Renault eyeing Raikkonen to replace Petrov in 2011?

Posted by RebelWithoutaCause
I would like to see Nick H back in F1, but not Renault.

I think Kimi and Renault would be a good match. Question is though would Kimi say yes? I can imagine if Kimi approached them, they would be falling over to sign what is still possibly one one of the top two quickest guys in F1 (if he can bothered :p).

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
As much as I'd love to see Kimi back in F1, I wouldn't want him to come back unless his heart was fully in it, and I'd want him to come back with a team that was at least pretty competitive.

Both those things look questionable for a 2011 return for him right now.

Kimi won his championship, let him stay out of F1.

I agree that Petrov is having a reasonably good rookie season, he has shown flashes of good technical driving and I hope to see more of that. I've actually been hoping to see Bruno Senna move to Renault, if HRT cannot secure all of Kolles's promises for 2011.

Yeah, I'm hoping to see Bruno in a more competitive car sooner rather than later too. He's showing signs of great progress. In Istanbul he was mixing it with the Virgins all weekend.

That is his problem. Needs to stop partying and focus on his racing.
really dont think Kimi will join renault. No offence, they are a great team, but for the past few years they havent really been championship material. Kimi said he will only race for a team that he can win the championship in.

Anyway its good he's in rallying, cheaper to see him. Cant wait until Rally GB at Cardiff Bay!

[en.espnf1.com] Interesting, Kimi Raikkonen was mentioned aswell by one of renault seniors.
Regarding HRT as they have been mentioed I think they are doing a much better job than Virgin in a car that has had no development or testing. I still dont think Bruno is doing anything to earn him a top drive though, he is not beating his team mate.

As for Kimi going to renault, I do not think this will happen. I do not think we will ever see Kimi in an F1 car again :(

As for Kubica he is probably the driver of the year so far.

Nor did Virgin. ;)
Well virgin done some, not much but they did not turn up at the 1st race with 2 cars that needed building.

Virgin were faster at the start of the year than HRT, but HRT are level now
@ MysticalCrayon
funny statement man ;)
Kimi today during WRC event at Jyväskylä:

-I don't miss F1 at all, I was there many years and I won't miss it, Kimi said.

- There is no point to come back there unless you can go to a team that have car that can win and there is only few of those in formula 1.Chance for my f1 comeback is only few percentage.

Kimi will anyway continue driving rallies no matter if he come back to f1 or not

-will see what car will I have under me next year, there is few choices I have on table.
