another (possibly interesting) fact about wet tyres, is that they don't "glue" them to the rim, as they do with dry tyres, allowing them to slip around the rim. don't know the exact reason for this, but remember Brundle telling us during a race a couple of years ago. might be because of the lack of grip/traction on wet surfaces, they allow the rim to spin but leave the tyre stationary, so as not to wear it out unnecessarily. in the dry with dry tyres, they want the tyre to spin as fast as the rim to gain maximum traction.
