F1 2011 Entries

Two of the teams which many of us probably hoped would be on the grid in 2010, aren't re-applying for 2011...

Lola
Prodrive

Its disappointing because these were two of the most prepared entries last time round, and Lola had already built a car as well. Epsilon Euskadi looks like it is the next best then, i think.

If I had lots of money...i'd be entering. But I dont so I cant.

Prodrive let me down in '08. I know they had the customer cars thing going on but they should have had a back-up plan.

Because, on paper at least, it seems they are better prepared than most of the other potential applicants.

That doesn't really answer his question. They got shafted before despite being better prepared than nearly all of the other potential applicants.

After the thread about the Epsilon Facilities, I would be highly surprised if they don't get it.

Is the entry for 2011 for the single slot that is available (USF1)? All the other teams don't have to re-enter just submit to continue driving?

Well all the teams have to submit their entries as per usual... but their acceptance is more of a formality. Although I suspect that HRT might struggle and there could well be two new teams again next year.

There's nothing better than a bit of nepotism possibly affecting the selection

if art enters in f1 in 2011,i know where massa will go in 2011

My GPGSL Career

Still hope Epsilon get it, but ART would be my second choice. Although it would seem a bit like a Ferrari B team, and designing their own chasis might be hard, as in GP2 they don't have to do that AFAIK.

I can see ART taking over STR, even though they're French. Plenty of Ferrari connections already then.

I am hoping that prodrive can come in next year was looking forward to them in 2008. Any new team will struggle of course as we are seeing this year but I think
