Good to see my favourite team back in their TRUE guise.

No Quadbak money involved, but still pretty good news, the cost cutting measurements should really work well in his favour.

Unfortunately the team has been downsized, but I reckon the new teams will be very eager to aquire the personel, the experience that they'll bring will be vital.

Klien's definately the guy to be in there, I mean Klien has said he's already under contract with the team and if they were to be on the grid, it's him. Same situation with Nick

Not being funny here, but are they definitely approved to race in 2010?

No, not yet, but one of the concerns with Quadbak was that noone knew who owned them - that problem is gone now.

Lets hope Sauber are back!

of course they are, Toyota are not selling their team, so the vacancy is there, FIA will deffinately grant Peter Sauber that slot or the other teams will force them to

as RedSam said, quadbak's background is no longer an obstacle

That's a slight contradiction there Slash... ;)

Of course they are / The vacancy is there

Either they've been cleared to race or they haven't! RedSam says they haven't - but there's every likelihood that they will. I'll certainly be keeping my fingers crossed.

The only other possibility is the abomination that would be Stefan F1.

But hopefully Sauber gets the slot, as I think his team could thrive again in a low-cost environment, as long as their 2010 development hasn't been hurt too much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fisichella gets one of the seats, but only if Heidfeld doesn't stay with the team (and assuming Klien is the other driver)

I'm very happy that this team is back. I always had a certain sympathy for this team, so it's great to hear that this team is going to participate again in Formula 1. For now they dont have the right to start, but I sincerely hope we'll see 2 Saubers in March!

Really hope they get their slot back, Sauber were always one of my favourite teams, and while I disliked BMW's involvement towards the end, their 2008 car was gorgeous.

Toyota is pulling out with the 2010 entry and everything, if they sell the team, they sell the 2010 entry as well, so Sauber would need to buy the Toyota F1 team in order to get their entry...... since they're not doing that, the vacancy is there, FIA just need to make it official

Fantastic news, nice to see the team back to the founder. Where it really does belong. BMW did really make a right hash of it selling it to QADBAK and now its good to see that fell through, was always going to fail that.

Now just got to wait for confirmation that Toyota are completely going, from what I've heard could be a little while yet.

I really hope Sauber can get back on the grid for next season! I wouldnt say that I was a fan of theirs but I always liked seeing them getting in amongst the points and doing well, it was always well deserved points! Also, who wouldnt want a livery like this back?

They should be able to use a similar livery, as Petronas seems to have (despite offers from other teams) remained loyal to Sauber.

Hopefully a few of BMW's other sponsors, such as FxPro and T-Systems also remain with Sauber to give them some more financial leverage.

Yeah, that'd be great, if that happens, I think it'll be a good decision on their part to stick with Sauber.

Fantastic news, let's hope it happens!
Sauber were always a constant in F1, and while they never did anything spectacular, they were a solid and dedicated team, which is just the kind of team F1 needs.
