hmm, Tilke approved of this track when one of the authors (w00t got it?) showed the design to him, but he's not the designer, not one of them, them, them. :P


Another hint: Track is already done, ready for racing, it's real piece +)

When will they get rid of Tilke? With formula changing a lot recently it is time to change Tilke as well for someone new and with fresh idea as well as different style.

If you want to be a track designer do a university degree in either architectural, civil or electronic engineering and then start a buisness that has people that have done the others and then prove yourself to Bernie. You'll have a hell of a task however.

Tilke started out by helping design perimeter roads for F1 tracks and the like IIRC, one of his first jobs he was given on an F1 track was designing the perimeters for the new Nurburgring before the 1984 GP there.

Shame he wasn't relegated to doing jobs like that TBH. We'd have nice safe run-off areas and a lack of overtaking opportunities on the perimeter roads, but the new tracks themselves wouldn't be spoiled.
