Mercedes #2 - Schumacher
Renault #2 - Grosean (only if Renault stay in F1, because of the Frenchness, if not then Baguette ftw!)
STR #2 - Alguesuari (needs time to impress, if not then Ricciardo will be in by Hungary)
Lotus #1 - Villeneuve (awesome comeback!)
Lotus #2 - Petrov (who would turn down all that sponsorship money?)
Campos #2 - Soucek (would make sense being Spanish)
USF1 #1 - Lopez (almost a certainty now)
USF1 #2 - Patrick ;) (nomnomnom)
Virgin #2 - Davidson/Carroll (Needs to be a Brit, so either of these guys are experienced and have been spotted around)
Sauber #1 - Kovalainen (would be a good team leader i think)
Sauber #2 - Kobayashi (this guy needs a drive!)

Isnt Senna confirmed at Campos btw? Also, I think Trulli may have passed his best and its time for some new blood with the new teams!

USF1 #2 HAS to be Marco Andretti.
Mercedes #2 = Kimi, but its almost impossible so I say Heidfeld
Lotus #1 = JV :)

ooo Senna is confirmed at Campos! I completley forgot!

There are so many decent available drivers out there right now. For any team its going to be difficult.

On Jarno, I believe he is past his best but then I believe he can still deliver his best on occasion, besides that his one lap-pace will be quite useful for a new team I imagine, if they want to know the limits of the car Jarno will find them. Then again how important does the limit over one lap become when racing with fuel on board?

Put Kobayashi in the 2nd Brawn. He has Panasonic sponsorship, and more promise than half the old crew.

I'd like to see him in a good car, but it's difficult to judge from two races. He's certainly showed better than either of the rookies this year but I think we need to get a real idea on how good he is before he gets shoved into what is likley to be a race winning car. Then again whats not to say he he cant do what Lewis did and be at home in such a car/team from the go? But you'd still be foolish to judge on two races. Besides that does he have the panasonic backing? I read they wanted to continue in F1 depsite TFs departure and I guess its logical that Kobayashi is the guy front them but has it been confirmed? I do hope so!

I would certainly love to see him in F1 and with a decent drive, but maybe not that Mercedes seat. I wouldnt like to see Nick Heidfeld again denined a chance with a good car.

Thing is, I thought Nakajima showed promise when he had a fling in the final race of 2007 - not quite as much as Kobayashi, but thought he looked quite decent. That didn't work out at all well, so I'm a bit more sceptical of Kobayashi than most seem to be. Especially so when you factor in the complete lack of consistency from Toyota, which seemed to work for both, neither or either Toyota driver almost at random.

I'm very sceptical of Kobayashi in terms of speed. If I was being serious, I wouldn't put him anywhere near the Brawn seat. However, I'm here for "ideal" seat fills, and there is no doubt he'd provide a hell of a lot of fun.

I don't discriminate any of this drivers including kobayashi, although Some jap drivers including sato messed the credibility and ability of japenese drivers with few ups and a lots of down. however for the past races of kobayshi on toyota he just shine like a new penny and throwing other over rated f1 drivers out their, including alguesauri(for whatever reasons he didn't have a test, but he'd done alot of lap in races which is more valueble than testing solo on track and still....) anyways, im trusting my big dick on kobayashi if he'll gonna get a set for brawn, mercedes, sauber... etc... anyways the other advantage of some great drivers liker alonso or scumacher or senna... is that they can handle worst car or any car in the grid wheather its not fit to their driving style and still they can nail this car to the top of the grid for some reasons.

Wat?

It has nothing to do with him being Japanese.

And Alguesauris experience in lower formulas is worth more than DRIVING THE CAR he is racing? Really? Because he has a lot less experience at racing too, so that is just a load of crap. Jamie is doing fine, stop the BS.

Compared to Piquet/Bourdais and Grosjean who both have tons more experience Jamie did a fantastic job. I still dont think Jamie is a name to keep an eye on but I would say he's made a much better job of it than those three drivers.

I think Jaime Algusuari will be an excellent driver in future years. Mark my words. :)

My ideal seat fills would NOT include Alex Yoong in a Lotus, FFS.

I also would like to see a Kubica/Kobyashi lineup if Renault become Prodrive. That would be very fresh!
