just a reminder, the BBC season review is on at 1pm on BBC1 Saturday 7th Nov, repeated Sunday 7pm on BBC3, then a final time Monday 3.05AM on BBC3.

will probably be on iplayer too.

the season has just finished so a lot of it is still fresh in the memory, but might be worth watching. i doubt they will have a Christmas show now they've done this one.

Cheers for the heads up Muks, nice one! I've been looking forward to this all week but forgot when exactly it was on tomorrow.
Looking forward to see how the BBC will compile the review :D

That was great. S**t's all over anything ITV ever did.....

The credits were superb. They showed them at the end of the forum at Abu Dhabi, made all the hairs on my neck stand up. Fantastic.

Awesome season, awesome coverage.......Awesome.

it was a good review, didn't bum JB and Brawn as much as ITV did with Lewis, but i hate the Florence & The Machine cover of "You've Got The Love", completely ruined a good song, she's not that good of a singer.

Quite good, but I think was very general... I guess theres only so much you can fit into an hour long show though. Good representation of Buttons and Brawns fall with RedBull's rise.

That summed it up for me! :)
I thought the beginning was a bit impersonal, like watching the F1 on TV through someone's living room window. I was relieved when Martin and EJ came on and actually started talking about things. Still far more enjoyable than what I can remember of ITV's F1 "specials" though.

It was a great review, well put together with some great music chosen for the "soundtrack". Shame it was only an hour long, since so much happened this year, particularly off the track. Trying to fit that into 1 hour made the program feel rushed, and so did the fact it was made less than a week after the season finished.

But yeah, it wiped the floor with all the season reviews/Christmas shows ITV ever did.

On the subject of Florence, she's not the best singer, but her voice does have a great raw/earthy quality which makes it sexy, and she's a good entertainer as well.
Agreed on the song, I liked every song they used except that one. "You've Got The Love" was a pretty poor song when it originally came out, and the God-knows-how-many covers of it over the years have only served to make it sound worse IMO. That song was only chosen because it's a really popular one just now - if it'd come out a few months ago I'm sure it never would've been considered.

as chavvy as it is, after the abu dhabi qualifying the end credits played Jay-Z/Rhianna 'Run this City'.

Sounded AWESOME as of the moment. Quite eerie!

Interesting that the model of the car at the start seemed to be the MP4-21!

Enjoyed it, I think 90 minutes would have been better for it. Just a shame the rugby had to be fitted in. Another thought, was only a week since the season finale, so probably a later date, like sometime in December would have been wiser for it to be shown, like more to remember.

But apart from that, enjoyed it. Nice clips and that. And the finishing piece was nicely done. Good song and good moments chosen on it.

i guess they did the review now while people are still interested in F1. all us hardcore fans would watch it whenever it came on, a week after the season ended, or in December, but maybe casual viewers might forget about F1 and not be so interested in a couple of months time.

also it lets the whole BBC F1 team put a close to their work for this season, they can all go away and holiday or do other work till the start of next season. Jake is doing some football work for the BBC between now F1 next year.

I wasn't disappointed with the TV coverage this year. They lived up to the expectations.

This might be over-optimism on my part, but given the shortness of this season review it'd be nice if we got a Christmas F1 show and/or a 2010 preview as well.

Thing is, they don't have to show F1 on BBC1 during the closed season. I'd prefer if they showed the F1 specials on BBC2, since they'd be under less pressure to keep the program short. It's not like we'd mind if it was on BBC2.
