Finnish TV channel MTV3 is now quoting Kimi on their website "If I want to drive a winning car, McLaren is the only option. My situation should clear out in a few days."

Do yourself and vesuvius just sit and watch TV religiously, patiently waiting for Kimi interviews?

LOL, nice spot! :P
Nah, I don't even have a TV. You need to pay too much for a licence, I have much better use for that money.

I just chech the F1 section of their web site sometimes. And I also look for other news than Kimi interviews. :P

ROFL, I really hope Kimi gets a drive at McLaren. F1 needs a chap like him. Today he was asked why he was not interested in going to Toyota, to which he promptly replied: "It is not cool to drive bad cars." ;)

Interesting comments from the Hamilton family today: [en.f1-live.com]

Maybe something is already done contract wise then.

Kimi spoke today to finnish media that it will be interesting rule changes next year (no refuelling, narrower front tyres and new qualifying with low fuel load) and he continued to use We term all the time :)

Yep, if Kimi goes to McLaren again he should be in really good shape. This year reminded me a lot of him in 2004. Also, McLaren is in similar shape...maybe the next mp4/20 is coming next year ;)

That article looks very positive. I agree totally with Anthony's comments about the potential situation if Lewis and Kimi were teammates.

Looks like Kimi is only motivated by money, not by a winning car.

If he does not drive he gets $17m from Ferrari, if he does drive for another team he gets $10 plus what the other team pay him.

Mclaren are meant to have offered him $5m so he would still get $15m, this is not enough for Kimi so looks like he will take a year off.

it would be a sad day for F1 if a driver chooses $2m (when he is already guaranteed $15m) over driving a almost-certain championship contending car.

Kimi also wants less PR days.

So god knows what he is playing at, all sounds a bit greedy.

Many drivers would love the chance to drive for Mclaren, Nick is meant to be the 2nd choice so he could end up there now.

Where in that article does it say Kimi is considering it?

It was the main heading on the website.
"Raikkonen eyes lucrative sabbatical in 2010"

Yes, but does it actually say anywhere in the article that Kimi is interested in not racing next year?

It doesn't, and I hope he does decide to take a drive. It'd be bad news IMO if he took a sabbatical. Remember Mika.

Yea, but about Mika there was rumours already before taking year of that he wont be driving for McLaren anymore at all after end of 2001 season.

Kimi could just take year of and try again to rob teams year later (wich surely wont work any better).

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?
