Petrov confirmed:

It will be interesting to see how he goes. I would have personally liked to have seen Heidfeld in this seat, but Petrov is certainly not the worst they could have chosen.

"And, intriguingly, with several new teams struggling one way or another, it appears that a deal may have been agreed whereby the new teams will be allowed three ‘no-shows’ at races in the next season."

That page also says that Texiera has purchased Campos now. I would put my money on whoever the last A1GP champion was getting the 2nd seat at Campos :)

EDIT : I like the way the OP says "edited 78 times" lol.

I've said it before: I don't care how they wrangle it, I just want Bruno Senna on next year's grid.

here is an interesting video interview by Ferrari's Aldo Costa about new 2010 rules:

the monocoque has to be homologated at the start of the season.
Meaning teams cannot introduce a modified monocoque mid season (Resource Restriction agreement). You have to run the same design the whole year.

Source: Aldo Costa (1:32 till 1:55).

so no Ferrari b-version during the season? :)

Didnt Mclaren use the same Monocoque from 2002 for the 17D??

The rumours of a B-spec car are laughable at the moment. They dont know whether or not the car will be quick or slow until tomorrow.

Its like Mclaren with the 24, until it hit the track im sure they were expecting good things from it.

my grid prediction for Bahrain (I don't like Bahrain being round 1)

I think the grid will look like this:

Hamilton
Schumacher
Vettel
Button
Alonso
Massa
Rosberg
Webber
Kubica
Barrichello
Kobayashi
Glock
Trulli
Sutil
Hulkenberg
Liuzzi
di Grassi
Petrov
de la Rosa
Kovalainen
Buemi
Alguersuari
Senna
Lopez
Campos D2
USF1 D2

I would place Ferrari higher but for the apparent lack of pace. If the car is good, Alonso is my favourite for the title. I've put Mclaren where they are because something tells me they're going to be fast early on. Red Bull will suffer from a late launch. Mercedes will be slightly out of sync with two new drivers. Lotus will be useless but Trulli will get some good quali pace out of it. Glock and di Grassi could surprise at Virgin. Expect Hulkenberg to struggle. Kubica and Kobayashi will destroy Petrov and de la Rosa regardless of what their cars are like. Campos and USF1 will be the minnows. Especially USF1 which I do not trust.

Let's see how right I am! :D

Not a bad prediction, although I expect Sauber and Toro Rosso should have enough to be above the new teams.

Stefan GP Ship Out

They're apparently shipping out all their equipment just in case Campos don't make it. They've also arranged for a test in Portimao at the end of Feb.

It'll be interesting to see if they are allowed to enter if Campos can't make it. Bruno Senna to move over to Stefan GP then?

To be making that statement after we've seen him in a total of two races last season is irrational.

According to Turun Sanomat it's now sure that StefanGP will take the place of Campos and biggest suprise will be their driver that will be Jacques Villeneuve! link(finnish) [www.ts.fi]

and even if Campos had deal with Bruno Senna, that will most likely not happend with StefanGP because they want Kazuki Nakajima

Given Villeneuves sponsors are funding half the team, it isn't a surprise at all.
