Combined with a single tire manufacturer and highly restrictive aero regulations, F1 is looking increasingly tame and no longer offers that many incentives to teams to push the boundaries of excellence and innovation.

The only good thing that comes out of this is that it wont eventually become "Formula 1 - Powered by Mercedes". Saying that, remember when pratically everyone, bar ferrari, used Cosworth engines, no-one moaned then

Funny you mentioned Cosworth, because I think one of the main reasons for doing it this way is so the Cosworth engines aren't quite as slow as predicted in 2010.
