Hoping that if he join on mclaren again, i hope we could not see a prost/ferrari situation here. Whereas during that year 89' prost learned that mansell had a superior car than him, and then the ferrari swap the car without mansell knowing..and thats why mansell learned the his car doesnt handles like before during his british gp, where he won..

I dont think he'd be under any serious consideration from McLaren. He was pretty unimpressive with his work ethic in 2006, and these last couple of years have been less than stellar as well. I'd be worried about his committment given that he seems uninterested in the sport anymore and wants to try new things. I don't think there were any personal problems between him and Ron Dennis, it was more the culture of McLaren being too restrictive (ie, in all likelihood he would not be able to enjoy pursuits such as rallying if he were to return).

If I were Whitmarsh, I'd be targetting Rosberg. He seems to have good qualifying pace and should get near enough to Hamilton. His race pace is good and consistent, unlike Kovalainen's. He's German, media friendly, seems to have a good ethic and having a front running car might motivate him to push that little bit harder to beat his teammate and challenge for race wins.

Can you remember how much of a strop Hamilton had when he thought he was playing second-fiddle to Alonso? People drag up Fernando's argumentative issues with the team as a reason for why he shouldn't rejoin McLaren, but they seem to forget that it was Lewis who fired the first shot of war by throwing all of his toys out of the pram at Monaco.

There's no way Lewis would allow a quick driver to join the team with him, he's far too egotistical.

Kimi is currently driving very well and is most likely more fit than ever and his qualifying performances are veryvery good much better than we saw 2007 and 2008, sadly F60 is not on the level of F2007 and F2008 so we don't see the results his current performance should bring.

Would Lewis really have that much say in the matter?

But the F2008 was the faster car throughout the whole year, how comes he fell away after Magny-Cours?

Read Monil, he is talking about now, not last year, last year he did @#$%& in the last part, but this year he isn't.

Kimi at his best. Still does not beat Silverstone 04.

350 tenths in a matter of 3 corners.

Looks right at home doesnt he!

Yeah, that was more tyres than driver methinks. ;-)

Maybe so...

But the 4tenth difference in the first sector was probably more car than driver ;-)!

Even still a remarkable lap and unless ive forgotten (most likley) we have yet to see such a performance from him at Ferrari.

Nice video's

Love the commitment at spa going through the smoke, always remembered that image.

I think that Kimi would consider going to Mclaren if they offer him a race winning car, and if Ferrari have already signed Alonso which we will have to wait till Monza to see I guess.

I don't think there was that much commitment. You can see he was on the radio, so presumably they'd just told him it was clear and to stay left.

The most memorable Kimi for me was Suzuka 2005. He and Nando scything their way through the field made for an excellent race... and showed Fisi for the over-rated, under-performer he was at Renault.

But he was commited in that he trusted the team, but then again thats a given you'd assume they were telling the truth.

Suzuka 2005 was just great.

I know he's talking about now, but Vesa also wrote that F60 is not at level best like the F2008. So that's why I asked the question, F2008 was the best car last year, where was he then?

he was 3rd in the championship, car didn't suit for his style as well he hoped and he and team made some silly errors that's it. his season last year wasn't as bad people claim it to be...he would have won france, canada and was fighting for win at silverstone too, with those results he would have won the title so not so bad :) qualifying was his weak point last year mainly because of the tyres but this year he has been better on qualifyings than Massa.

Maybe not, check this out

Hungary 2007, just after the race, during the press conf. :

Q: (Paolo Ianieri – La Gazzetta dello Sport) Lewis, do you think that your honeymoon with the team, or with Ron Dennis, is somehow finished? Or it continues?
LH: As you know I have been working with Ron for - it must be nearly ten years now - so ok it is quite a big event and a problem for the team but I think the relationship we have is very very strong and something like this is not going to come between us. We will move on and move on to bigger and better things.
(KR is laughing is *** off...)
