Ive never really thought about signing up but "Murray Walker has Twitter? What the HELL?!" has now convinced me!

Reading some of the earlier posts, I'm not quite so sure actually lol. Unless Murray is into his text speak and kisses of course, you never know haha.

Holy @#$%&, Muzza on Twitter! If it's legit, then kudos to him for staying with the times.

You get that impression from that particular tweet, yeah. I've never known Muzza and smut to mix easily in his commentaries, although in his defence here he is claiming not to understand the innuendo.

Thank you Ian! I've had my time, though. James Allen set the bar so low that Jonathan didn't see it and tripped over it!

ROFL

I love Murray, even if he's fake or not

LMAO!
Cheers for bringing that one to my attention, I never read the tweets further down. Such a good summing up!

Again a retirement of BMW? When does they come back? I bet... 2014 or 2015. ;)

It's like Renault in the past. We go in retirement. After 3 years with Mecachrome and what a other chrome, the renault label was back on a benetton.

Hmm. I was reading about this on F1 Live, and I quote [b
to discuss "current developments in motor sport"[\b]

I have a suspicion, coupled with the car isn't competitive, that Henrry Surtees tragic death, Massa's accident, and Alonso's 'flying wheel' situation, that they feel that open wheel motorsport is not safe enough, and they do not want to see their drivers, or anyone elses for that matter, getting injured.

Just my thoughts, continue with your disccusion like I was never here. ;)

EDIT: My tags won't make my quote go bold. Anyone know what's wrong?

BMW leaves , their trackrecord: one uninspired livery kept for 4 years and only 2 decent looking car models (2007 and 2008).
So long…

Message keeps me kinda cold.

Hadn't really seen this coming!

Can the spot that remains open now, still be given away?

Hmm...BMW were my favorite team in 2007. Well, this year alot has changed and they've found that they are way out of their depth...battling with force indias. I don't think they're trying, so it's fair that they are dropping out. I think even Force India have more drive than them

GPGSL Driver - Season 2, 22nd with IER, who came in 10th in constructors.

Season 3 - Driver 11 for Pheonix. 3 points, 20th in standings.

Season 4 - Test Driver for TSS, currently 1st in testing ranking, TSS also 1st in constructors.

BMW are looking a bit like a spoiled child, basically 1/2 a season doesn't go the way they want, so they leave the sport. I agree with Vandusk, they'll probably be back, even if just as an engine supplier.

Not a hope. It's more political I guess. Now the FOTA breakaway is less than likely, I guess they weren't happy about not being able to dip their fingers into the pot as much as they'd like.

It's a political strop I guess. They'll probably come back if Mosely goes and Todt doesn't replace him. ;)

Maybe it's the fact that they splashed out on KERS and then found out it compromised their car.

Please. Give. Us. Prodrive/Aston.

So its official eh? [www.formula1.com]

Starting to read (completely unfabricated) rumours that Howett has been summoned to Tokyo. With the new Concorde Agreement due to be signed in the next week or so it seems it's crunch time.

Suddenly Mosely's budget cap seems not to be common sense, but essential. Completely ignoring the 3 new teams for now (let's face it, no one has confidence in at least 1 of them) we might be down to 16 cars next season by the end of the week... if Renault follow suit then 14.

All complete conjecture of course, but it most certainly is a critical point in what we end up with next season.

//edit: expect to see the above 3 paragraphs read out on Sky Sports News and in tomorrow's Daily Mail.

Eddie Jordan will probably start reciting them out as 'from a reliable source' also...

Is there any word on what STR are doing next year? Still haven't seen anything about anyone buying them out or anything, maybe a deal has already been struck secretly.

I'd hope that Prodrive and Lola haven't been overly affronted by not being chosen for next season or that they knew there was a good chance that they'd get in anyway or something...I'd bank on them lasting but I'd fear for Manor and Campos.
