Her contract is up at the end of the year, and she's basically said that she'll be checking out all her current options before she makes a decision. That means NASCAR, F1 or staying in IRL.
If USGPE play their cards right, they could definitely sway her IMO.

There's no way she'll be in F1. She might test if the stories/backers dry up, but that's the absolute closest she'll come to a drive.

It's not dissimilar to the stunt Senna beautifully played in the close of '92.

She knows, and they know, that she's not good enough. It's hardly ground breaking that they're essentially playing themselves off to get a better deal in their respective categories. USF1 attract more publicity, get their F1 deal (possibly in part off the back of this) and attract no end of drooling potential sponsors, while Bernie's PR stampede only continues to grow in the US. She can already command almost whatever deal she wants in the IRL, but this will only serve to cement that bit more. She's not exactly got potential suitors falling over her for her talents.

It's win-win...

Even it would be funny to have female driver in F1. This person should also be really skilled, or she would end as joke. Beeing in F1 only because of beeing female, wow what an achievement.

I still think next female formula1 driver will be from Finland, even her results havent been so good as I was expecting earlier.

Plus Danica's hissy fits are legendary in their quality. I can't think of a foot stomper and a pouter in her league in F1 right now, unless it's Hamilton...

Alonso is much more of a diva than Hamilton IMO. Remember how he acted at McLaren. Also, he's threatened to quit the sport at least twice that I can think of in the last couple of years.

Marco Andretti is a crappy driver?? Didn't he basically win the Indy 500 if it wasn't for Sam Hornish's rocket boost? I think that if he gets a testing role for a year or two in F1 and then joins, he could be a mid-level competitor who could score some good points for USF1, and maybe get better, who knows.

1 almost win isn't much really. He has done nothing since then, and he is doing nothing in a car that won the title just 2 years ago.

Like I said somewhere else, his name alone is enough of a draw to be advantageous to either series in the event of a split, but I wouldn't like to be the boss that hires him.

That's great news about Jacques! It'd be awesome if he did make a comeback, and he'd be one of very few drivers to make more than one F1 comeback(think Martin Brundle was the last one).
I never did agree with the way he was dropped by BMW halfway through 2006, since he'd been driving so much better that season.

I need to correct you on that one. The last one to make more than 1 F1 comeback was Jos Verstappen for Minardi 2003. Never liked Jacques Villeneuve that much, but it's always good to have anothe former world champion on the grid.
