About 15kg difference

According to Williams it is 2.25kg/lap so that gives 7lap addvantage!! But unless they get past Alonso it will difficult to touch the RedBulls.

The only other thing for RedBull is that they should hope no rain comes along, if it rains and teams are required to use wet tyres or inters then if the other drivers have not used the soft they do not have to. So if it rains before the Brawns use their softs and they are in a good posistion then it could go well.

RedBull should be very very very greatful for Alonso!!!

Ruben's could win it if he gets past the RBRs. How great would that be, four years on, and he comes back and claims the podium :D
The brawns are a little bit heavier than the rest of the 09 cars. The difference in fuel loads is not that big imo it is more of a difference between the actual weights of the cars.
However,it is still a race between the two brawns.

Dont forget that Alonso doesnt have KERS this weekend though and isn't going to be as difficult to pass as he normally would be :)

If you discount the Red Bulls in Q2, who were 3 tenths faster than the 3rd placed car, 3rd through 15th in Q2 were separated by about 7 tenths of a second. On a 3.something mile track. It'll be even closer at Barcelona because the track's only 2.8 miles.

So Nelsinho should crash between lap 11 and 14 and make sure the car ends in the middle of the track.

And then Brawn should have problems with the fuel hose.

so Just as planned by Alonso ;)
Was disappointed with the Toyotas and the Williamses. I don't think this race will be disrupted anything as much as Melbourne and Sepang were, so it'll be interesting to see if Willi, Toyota and BMW can climb through the field as they have done before. My advice to Ferrari would be to drive a quiet, unadventurous race and try and scrape a few points, because that's about all they can manage.

I'm still thinking Brawn win, so long as Barrichello or Button don't get stuck behind Alonso or Webber. If pressure is put on Vettel I can see him folding.

Great performance from Buemi again. Bourdais and Piquet are living on borrowed time.
I think the key here is the pace the Brawns will carry after the RBRs pit. Buttons 2 laps in Malaysia were very devastating. If the RBRs also carry the softs and begin to lose performance after 7 or 8 laps then the others have the option to splash and dash at the end. I think given the weight Trulli is still in this as well.
I don't think Vettel will fold under pressure, he had mountains of stress in Monza last year and managed OK.

Also, remember that he has always been immense at Shanghai. 4th there a couple of seasons ago, when Hamilton went gravel digging. This one could be Red Bull's race yet. :)

On another note, Raikkonen is looking quietly rather good. If he can keep himself ahead of Hamilton (tricky without KERS now), he should be able to score Ferrari's first points of the season.

I have a feeling that rbr and alonso will try and get the soft tyres out the way 1st then, the Brawns times are very good with that amount of fuel.

I still think one of them will win the race.
Piquet is running incredibly heavily compared to Alonso.

But thats only because he failed to get into Q2 because he is too slow. Of course hes going to fill up the car heavy now that he is near the back, no brainer really

really looking forward to this race! great to see webber doing a good job in qualifying, and hopefully, he can get ahead of Alonso and the Brawns at the start. the red bull is an excellent car this year, hopefully they can fit the new diffuser in monaco as planned and it will be hard to beat hopefully!

1 stop strategies are going to be pretty useless with the soft tyres, so if Piquet does do that, i can't see him lasting.

To me, it sounds more like the ppl running from 679 onwards are gambling for rain.
Brawn are looking pretty strong, as long as they stay out of trouble in the opening lap or two they should end up ahead after the first stops. The only question mark(assuming a dry race) is the phase on the softer tyres - but the Brawn has shown so far that it seems to have the best pace no matter what tyres or circuit it's on.

Supreme performance by Vettel. Took gambles and made them pay off brilliantly, fully deserves the pole.

Great quali from Alonso too even if he's starting uber-light. Don't be surprised if he leads into the first corner.

And good morning everyone! Looking forward to this one! =]

Aye morning, hopefully we are in for a good race. :)

OK, wet start! This should be quality!

Yup, bang goes the first bog-standard run-of-the-mill race of the year. :P
Yes for the wet!
