Fastest capture and upload i have done, well worth it at 5am i think =p

Bloomin' Fantastic!

I bloody missed the first 10 mins of the show as I slept over a bit after the whole of FP3 and watching its final 4 mins (lmao). The end bit is very very good. Nice of the FIA to rebrand & redesign everything for this year
Personally, i prefer ITV's 2003 intro, 'The Chain' really doesn't do anything for meas I don't remember it from the 90s and it doesn't quite have the same 'umph' that makes me excited but it's a nice intro nevertheless...

I would have preferred something more like this though:

Not too keen on the new intro really.

Agreed. The CGI is cool, but a little CGI with alot of F1 clips, plus the Chain would have been much much better =]

The first few ITV intro's were actually quite good.

The latest one with the manwoman is scary though. I think it was malaysia one year it was introduced, not the best when you watching in the early hours of the morning ;)

The "inspiration" intro was miles better. While it's great to hear The Chain, it doesn't really suit all this CGI shite. Give us some F1 clips.

Only one thing can top The Chain, and that's when RTÉ used "Firestarter", around 1997 and 1998 iirc. The opening wah guitar loop set against Brundle's Jordan flying at Melbourne. Lovely shtuff. :)
Anyone have that 97 or 98 of RTÉ?
Trust me I've looked. :( There's nothing on the web. I used to have quite a lot of videos of races taped, but most of the videos are buggered now and any that are left are around 2001-2002 era. What I did find recently was amazingly good condition tape of Sunday Sport from RTÉ on the evening of 1st May 1994. Amazed that it has survived all these years.
The teaser and qualifying intro didn't have the lightning at the very start, but the race intro did. Odd.
haha, I remember this music from GrandPrix 1 :D

yeah real cars with The Chain would be great. BBC could have pulled up loads of great moments from f1 history they have in their archive to use instead of the CGI crap.

a compilation of all the ITV F1 intros from '97-'08, my favourites is the '99 one with Blackbeat by Apollo 440, the music really matches the action. my 2nd fave is the '97 one with music by Jamiroquai using the black Texaco F1 car:

the one with the remix of Bachman Turner Overdrive's You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet was crap, and so is the Moby "Lift Me Up" one they had till the end of last year.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Ever since you said that, I couldn't help myself and I did this through their New Single Invaders Must Die. Quality sucks due to coding.

Edit: Apparently Veoh is bit of a pain, so at first press the pause button and let the sound go through and then after that press the play button. It should work in sync then

Lovely shtuff there! Prodigy are actually F1 music!
That ITV Intros clip doesn't have the "special edition" San Marino GP version when they used Louise Griffiths' song over the intro. :D Just as well really, but I remember it for the cheese factor.
