Unless you're 5, you could know :P

Anyway, there was a big tyre issue at that race, which made all the Michelins teams (all but 3) pull out of the race. Six cars started. Monteiro, driving for Jordan, got to the podium - his only one. As everybody was angry about the six car race, Monteiro celebrated his podium.

Alessandro Nanini, 1988 Japanese GP (I think)

Also, am I correct in saying that Mika Salo has also only had one podium finish - Germany 1999, substituting for Michael Schumacher? Did he get any podiums before that?

According to Wikipedia Nannini had 9 podiums. His podium at Suzuka was his first and only win.

Salo also had a second podium (of which I didn't know either) at Monza in the same year.

I am pretty sure Salo had a podium in Italy in 1999

Nannini had some podiums in 1990 at least

Vittorio Brambilla. Took his hands off the wheel to celebrate winning in Austria in 1975, lost control and threw it in the wall. Victory and epic failure all at once ;)

Ah, I knew Nannini had a one-off something to do with the rostrum at Suzuka that year. :) Forgot about Salo's podium in Monza, too. (In fact, I can't rightly remember that race, apart from Hakkinen crashing). So my post contributed nothing, in fact, to the list that already exists!

cheever got quite a few podiums in the early 80's (usually in the US GP)

Cappeli had at least 2, as he finished 2nd in portugal in 88.

i'll go for, Bruno Giacomelli - Las Vegas 81 in the alfa.
