How do they do that ? I'd like to make one, with personal photos

Take a photo... edit out the background, leaving only the driver... et voila, you've got it! Copy-paste it in. Simple. Ish.

And I guess I'm not alone in thinking that nearly all drivers looked a bit weird in those pictures last year? It made F1 look like a freak show! Only a few looked normal.

Tbh I was thinking of doing all the animated stuff of this starting grid...but anyway, I agree, no one look good there :p

FOM has their own software to do it I believe. I dont know how - but they have built a software for it as far as I know.

As for the simraces broadcasted online, like PSRTV ones, PSRTV broadcasters use rFactor's TV Style plugin and sometimes they do a 3d grid walk which could be improved to be like FOM's F1 one if they wanted to.

Well, if you want to try it, you can do your own homemade version. You can do it in flash. but to make it customizable you'd need to integrate Flash and XML.

I did a generic flash signature based in a driver bio tv overlay, for a league where I am racing, and its only for strict use of that league. Its unique because its XML driven, updated manually by me after each race, but to allow people here to use, i'd have to tell Mortal to install it here manually.

I also did, by league admin request, a HTML version of it though its not animated.

Any idea of the font the FOM is using ?

I dunno. I used frutiger, which seems to be the one used by GPxPatch in GP4 for the 2005 TV Overlays.

As for the TV plugin, its for rFactor only i'm afraid.
