Backing up what Marcl said, the BBC released a news statement which includes Martin Whitmarsh admitting they are slow... :(

They better get it right! 13 days or so left, now that's called meeting a deadline!

Most interesting of the whole is, that the Merc-engine is everywhere (on top with Brawn), in the middle with Mclaren, dead last with Force India.

So ór the Merc engine is quite strong, but the Macca chassis is aerodynamically not good and the Force India quite bad ór the Merc engine is not very good, but only Brawn GP seems able to compensate that by a very good chassis.

I dont think the mclaren is a bad car, they have just put the latest areo package on and its not worked as they wanted that also happened to ferrari a few years back.

At worst they will probably just revert to the older package but who knows they could get it fixed.

Problem is no testing after next week so they will have problems catching up.

Anyway there are meant to be 3 cars the teams are expected to question in Australia and they are Williams, Toyota and as I said before Brawn even though no one is giving their name. Earlier in the week teams said that the Brawn front wing and diffuser are looking suspect.

The FIA had already cleared the diffusers... Williams sought clarification long ago before they even went ahead putting the design into practice.

However, rather stupidly as is often the case with F1, it is entirely possible for other teams to protest during the Grand Prix event and for the race stewards to disagree with the FIA.

There is definitely a case for sour grapes from Renault. They are portraying themselves as holier than thou and pointing fingers. But it's also probable that they simply have not been as clever as some other teams.

In any case it's always a sorry thing to see any team resort to protests and courtrooms instead of the CAD office to seek their performance edge.

The FIA might have cleared them but this is a different story at a race and the race stewards can declair them illegal and thats probably what some teams are hoping for.
